Procure to Pay - This process is related to buying material from organizations
supplier/vendors for day to day operations.
requisition --> RFQ -->PO --> Receive --> pay
Eg - An automotive service center can buy spare parts from its supplier (like
toyota etc). To buy spare parts they will look for all supplier who can provide
spare parts. This suppliers will give quotes and then the organization
will make a decision from which supplier they will buy spare parts. Then a
purchase order is genearte and supplier will send required spares to
organization. Upon receiving spare the organization will match and recieive
products in their inventory. Once spares are received payments will be
made to supplier.
Order to Cash - This cycle is related to selling of
products and services to customers.
Customer --> Order --> Book --> schedule --> WO Completion
(optional) --> Pick release --> Ship cofirm --> AR
Eg - (i will continuue with automotive service center)
I take my car for repair to this automotive service center. Since i need a
service/products from this organization, i become a customer for them. They will
then take a look at my car and suggest me service/products i need to buy. (all
that will become items which i am purchasing from them). Upon completion of
repair of my car i will get the invoice. Once i get invoice from organization, i
can make payments against that.

dlivery level and the clinet not read to accommodate Taxex being caluculated
aboth pricing liver and billing level as the result there was diffrence in
etimated cost and actula cost .
solution:
we started the caluculation at dleivery ;eve than at order
level . secondly we caluculated taxes at the billing level
than that of pricing level

Pricing date is the date in which the condition records are accesed. For eg:
lets say you have the price of the material as 1000Rs till Mar 2008 as per the
validity period of condition record and from april the same price of the
material is 2000Rs as per the validity period of the condition record. Now your
pricing date in the Sales doc determines as which price should be taken into
account. Hope you are clear now.

Hello.
GAP analysis is done in Blue Print stage. It aims to understand what can be done
with the standard SAP and how the client actually wants a particular scenario to
be processed. And to understand the GAP between the actual & required scenarios.
For eg: in standard SAP there will be no Availability check done at Quotation
Level. But client requests that Availability check be done at Quotation level
also sothat that will give him an idea roughly when the delivery could
me made (remember that doesnot transfer requirements). Accordingly his customer
can proceed with placing an order or not as per his requirement. Please correct
me if I am wrong

I was not satisfied by the above answers. I got this one from sdn.sap and i have
posted here.
A through gap analysis will identify the gaps between how the business operates
ad its needs against what the package can can't do. For each gap there will be
one of three outcomes which must be recorded and actioned, GAP must be closed
and customised software can be developed close the gap, GAP must be closed but
software cannot be written therefore a workaround is required, GAP does not need
to be closed.
In simple terms: Gap means small cracks. In SAP world. In information echnology,
gap analysis is the study of the differences between two different information
systems or applications( ex; existing system or legacy system with Client and
new is SAP), often for the purpose of determining how to get from one state to a
new state. A gap is sometimes spoken of as "the space between where we are and
where we want to be." Gap analysis is undertaken as a means of bridging that
space. Actual gap analysis is time consuming and it plays vital
role in blue print stage.

should gve reply that is intial response..cust/confi parrt is done on dev server
..after he suld text the take ,,senb bck to enduser ..and wating for enuser
reply..then we close the ticket

Delivery date:- the date on which cust. receives goods.
Requested delivery date:- the date on which cust. wishes to have his goods.
confirmed delivery date:- the date on which the arrival of goods can be
confirmed.
Now, for backward scheduling the cust. requested delivery date is used to
calculate the material availability date and transportation lead time. the
delivery must be created on the earliest of the two dates.If both dates are
after the order date and material is availble on the material availblity date,
the cust. requested delivery date can be confirmed .If both dates are before the
order date , confirmation of the requested delivery date can not take place.
Therefore, the system attempts to determine the next eraliest possible
delivery date through forward scheduling.

You use a delivery group to determine a common delivery date for all the items
that it contains. If you double the quantity ordered for the main item, then the
order quantity for the sub-item will also be doubled.

For STO following are the minimum requirement
The material code should be same at delivering
plant and receiving plant.
Material to be transferred should be created in both the
plants.
Supplying plant is to be created as Plant as Vendor for the
receiving plant.
Receiving Plant has to be created as Customer.
STO pricing procedure to be maintained.
If requirement are fullfilled STO is generated by receiving plant using docs
type NB, sto generated then Delivery, commercial invoice & excise invoice
While in 3rd party sales it is E1 transaction Distributor raise PO on
manufacturing plant on behalf of delear,material supplied to delear by
manufacturing plant, delear issue form E-1 to manufacure on receipt of goods &
make payment to distributor who will transfer to manufacture, cst exempted so we
can say distributor is sold to party & delear is ship to party. Other part is
same delivery commercial invoice & excise invoice, in sto pricing procedure is
as per cast auditors certificate

organization 2 view( am not sure 1 or 2 view ).
this item category is used in item category determination
( Item category = Item category group + sales document type + item category
usage + heigher level item category ) based on the material type

If any condition type that is not ticked for Statistical in pricing procedure
and you want to post the amount to FI, then you need to have an account key
assigned to that condition type.
In Pricing Procedure ERB, ERL, ERF, ERU, MWST etc are Account Keys where through
this key it posts into G/L account of Finance.
Path Go to SPRO --> Sales and Distribution --> Basic
Functions --> Account Assignment/Costing --> Revenue Account Determination
It is basically Application (V-Sales) Condition Type (KOFI)
Chart of accounts, Sales Organization, Customer account Group, Material Account
Group and G/L accounts

Realization is third phase of Implementation project or ASAP methodology.
In this step Base Line Configuration will done like, configuration of all
documents, configuration from Order to delivery, delivery to invoice, invoice to
payment etc. (unit by unit congiguration). Whereas In Final Configuration full
cycle will be configured like O2C Oreder to Cash), P2P Procurement To
Pay) , Q2C (Quotation to cash)or third party, Consignment, Intercompany process
etc.
Also in this stage various testing will be done like Unit Testing, Integration
Testing, etc. And test all business process cycle.
Also plan for preparing User manual.

T. code OVAK contains the sales order type to credit limit check type and credit
group assignment. You can define system reaction ( for simple credit limit check
) or credit group ( in case of automatic credit check, go to OVA8 to configure
it) for the needed sales order types. In case of automatic credit limit check
activate credit group '01 = credit group for sales order' only.

system check possible shipping point as it is determine automatically by using a
det check in t.code {ovl2}

When u are going to create delivery with reference with sales order ,goods
movement takes place in the background ,that is in case of standard sales order
you create an outbound goods delivery to the customer .Here movement 601
takes place .This movement is configured in mm .Every such movement hits some
g/l account. The accounts posting in FI is done with reference to the
billing documents created in SD .Thus ,this is a link between SD & FI .

following setting need to apply for SKTO,SKTV:
1)maintain the terms of payments in customer master
2)CHECK THE FIELD CASH DISCOUNT field in sales org1 tab in meterial master
3)maintain SKTO, SKTV condetion types in V/06 ( these are not having access
sequence and main tain condetion category E in the condetion type)
4) plased in the pricing procedure (check static, requirement 2, alt con.base
valu 9).
5) then rice the sale order see the condetions tab page in Item data you will
get cash discount.

You need to say that document as the referance document wich is also called as
sap libarary whcih hold as a referance document for the any one who comes new

Since you have 70 tooth brushes available, create the SO related for the
available quantity first and then create the SO related delivery for the balance
qty i.e 30 no's. How ever in this case the pricing will not vary as the same has
been determined in the Sales Order.
The above scenario is possible only if the customer is willing to accept partial
delivery.

in FBN1 first maintain the no ranges as per u r requirement and go back to first
screen and select Interval - trnasport.
Note: in our target client it should be zero no range for the particular year.

Change the item usage and make it text item.
Secodly analyse as to why is this item given greyed . can be on on account of
avilability if yes see wether the materila is avilable or not if stock are not
avilable then post he stocks in MB1C
Thirdly see what item and wether your corresponding palnt has that item or you
need to take from the alternative palnt and make the required settings
Fourthly see if you can convert that item as a third party item or it cn be
substitued with some other item

Business item: It allows the business data at header level differs with item
level business data.
 Business data: Business data is nothing but sales,
shipping and billing data that is called as a business data. Ex: We maintain
payment terms in customer master.
When we raise the sales order for this customer the payment terms are copied
into the sales document header from customer master. If we do not maintain
payment terms in the customer and we maintain payment terms in the sales
document header manually then those payment terms applies whole item in the
sales order. If we have number of items in the sales order and if we want to
change payment terms for particular line item, system allows us to do so,
if business item field has been checked. Otherwise system will not allow
changing the payment terms at item level.

computer you are going to show him Head phone, Mouse etc. This is what called
cross selling.
The steps are- IMG ---> SD---> Basic Function---> Cross Selling.
a) Define Determination procedure for cross selling.
1. Create a table. (Put a table no. [501] & assign field
from field catalog)
2. Maintain Access sequence ( Create your access sequence)
3. Define condition type.
4. Maintain procedure
b) Maintain cust. / Doc. procedure for cross selling.

The Intercompany ( having 2 company codes and 2 plants, 2 sales org. ) sale in
SAP is nothing but when the customer place the order to company code-1 (selling
company code) if
the selling company Plant is not having stock then will collect the material
from company code-2 (supplying company)plant. For this will create the inter
company customer with
selling company sales area and supplying company code. Here stock transfer from
Plant to Plant is INTRA Company and Stock transfer from Supplying plant to
Customer through
selling sales area is INTER Company sales. The delivery will be from Supplying
plant to customer. In this process first we will get Inter company billing ( IV
) and next
invoice F2 billing to customer. For this we need to do Back ground settings.

Hi Friend This is prabhakar Bheemineni...Issues different types custmizing
issues,,enhance ment issuess...like...I will give some issues ....
Billing Document not released to accounting / Accounts determination:
To resolve the error, you can analyze account determination in the billing
document. Process:
Goto T.Code: VF02 & Enter Invoice number
Next (On the top most strip) goto Environment
Next (Select Environment) go to Account determination
Next (In Account Determination) select Revenue Account
Determination (first option)
This will list all the condition types in the Billing document & analyze each
condition & check for which G/L accounts is not determined.
Possible errors:
1. VKOA not maintained for required combination
Solution: Maintain the combination in VKOA.
2. Account Assignment of Customer / material not maintained in Customer /
Material Master (If maintained in combination in VKOA).
Solution:
Option 1 (Standard solution):
step 1: Cancel Billing Document --> Reverse PGI --> cancel Delivery --> Cancel
Sales Order
step 2: Maintain Customer master / Material Master correctly.
step 3: Recreate sales Order --> Delivery --> PGI --> Invoicing.
Option 2:
Force the Account Assignment Group of Customer / Material through Debug in
change mode of Billing document, which will release Billing Document to

Header Level.
Customer Pricing Procedure is determined from Customer
Master. Document
Pricing Procedure is determined from Sales Document Type / Billing Type (if
configured). Once the
pricing procedure is determined, Condition records are fetched. If appropriate
condition records are found, the price is determined. If Mandatory pricing
condition is
missing, system will through an error message.
In SD, the steps to configure Pricing procedure are as under:
Step 1:
Condition table: If existing condition table meets the requirement, we need not
create a new condition table. Considering the requirement for new condition
table, the
configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution -->
Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Condition Table (select the required

Access Sequence: If existing access sequence meets the requirement, we need not
create a new access sequence. Considering the requirement for new sequence, the
configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution -->
Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Access Sequence (Access sequence is made
up of
Accesses (Tables) & the order of priority in which it is to be accessed. Here we
assign the condition table to access sequence.
Step 3:
Condition Type: If existing condition type meets the requirement, we need not

done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function -->

make the necessary changes in new pricing procedure. Pricing Procedure is a set
of condition
type & arranged in the sequence in which it has to perform the calculation.
Considering the requirement for new Pricing Procedure, the configuration will be
done in spro
as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control
--> Pricing Procedure --> Maintain Pricing Procedure.
b. Pricing Procedure: After maintaining the pricing procedure the next step will
be determination of pricing procedure. Configuration for determining pricing
procedure
in SPRO is as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function -->
Pricing Control --> Pricing Procedure --> Determine Pricing Procedure.
5. Condition record: Condition record is a master data, which is required to be
maintained by Core team / person responsible from the client. During new
implementation, the condition records can be uploaded using tools like SCAT,
LSMW, etc.
It is assumed that document pricing procedure, customer pricing procedure , ...
are in place.
Sales Document not assigned to Sales Area:
SPRO --> Sales & Distribution --> Sales --> Sales Documents --> Sales Document
Header --> Assign Sales Area
To Sales Document Types --> Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas
(do ensure to maintain combined Sales organization, combined Distribution
channel &
combined division. for eg: Sales org 1000 & sales org 1000, Sales org 2000 &

similarly for distribution channel & Division, so that the Sales area

Issues related to Customer Master data:
1. what is the impact of leaving customer pricing procedure & customer statistic
group blank in customer master --> sales area data --> sales tab:
If Customer Pricing Procedure is left blank, Pricing will not be determined.
If customer statistic group is left blank, then data will not flow to standard
reports.
2. Who maintains reconciliation account in customer master?
Ideally, reconciliation account is maintained by FI person, but if SD person is
authorized & has the knowledge of which reconciliation account to be maintained,
then even SD person can maintain the same.

3. Terms of payment appear in Company Code Data & sales Area Data. What is the
impact of each? why is it not populated automatically, once it is maintained at

field?
Terms of payment from company code data is for reporting purpose & it is from
sales area data that it flows to sales order.
It is a standard feature of SAP that it is not populated automatically if
maintained at either of the field, but it is a must in sales area data & can be
skipped in company
code data.
4. Unable to select Sales Area for Customer Master Creation?
Most Probably either sales area is not defined or customization not done for
common Sales Org & Common Distribution Channel. To maintain this configuration:

Next (In Account Determination) select Revenue Account
Determination (first option)
This will list all the condition types in the Billing document & analyze each
condition & check for which G/L accounts is not determined.
Possible errors:
1. VKOA not maintained for required combination
Solution: Maintain the combination in VKOA.
2. Account Assignment of Customer / material not maintained in Customer /
Material Master (If maintained in combination in VKOA).

so billing is carried and ownership changes

Then we need to go to FD32 thrice for each customer and assign the credit limit

secondly there is one customer and is assigned to three sales areas with the
same general data. here, in fd32 we need to define its credit limit for one
sales area and then we need to cap his credit limit by punching the max value
for the customer in all the sales area in fd 32 only.

Use the routine in the item catg of standard LF-F8 copy control (Delivery to
Proforma Inv) 010 for LF-F2 so that without PGI you can do billing.
But I hope this will have certain issues such as
1. You can create more than 1 billing doc for the same delivery.
2. There is no control in goods mov. i.e since you create your Inv first, even
if you forget to do PGI there is no check. Hence Physically Stock will be out ,
but from system
point of view stock still remains which leads to errors.

details billing tab page for individual line item and change the payment term.

show references for a document.
You can check the document flow if you go to "Environment" tab and click on

can be changed) ....so for this purpose we maintain the condition exclusion.
The process is as follows
1)define exclusion group(trans code:-ov31)
2)assign the condition types to the exclusion group(ov32)
3)maintain the condition exclusion in pricing procedure(vok8)
Here select your pricing procedure and click on exclusion button and go to
new entries and specify the condition requirement.
4)assign the condition exclusion and save it
5)goto vk11 and maintain the condition records for condition types for all those
conditions entered in the condition exclusion.
Now raise a sales order and check the condition exclusion group exists or not...

This reply may directly not relate to credit management,but i hope this may be
useful to you. I think u can over come this issue by doing this at paymet
terms level. Because payment terms are at Customer master level.Even if
the customer wants both materials (H/W and S/W) in a single order with
different payment terms this is possible,and the business can offer.
Ex:Let us say that,Customer X has ordered for Y and Z products in single
order,where Y's payment wil be mabe with in three days and Z's payment will be
made for 30 days
because this is not fast movable,and mighet be supported with business by Bank
Guarantee.
This can be done at product(ITEM)level while applying condition records for this
item with pricing element.
Pls clarify if anything wrong i wrote,reason being that i am also learning.

it means how the credit value ll update " Gross Total of Cleared Items without
Cash Discount Loss or with loss "
There is no link to the pricing procedure that the discout conditon will valid
or not.
In this case we can put a requiremt in pricing procedure for that conditon type
that if the ( Over all credit status field is blocked / Delivery block due to
Credit limit then

There are Consultnats, Power users, End users in a SAP R/3 system.
The users are differentiated by the level of authorization End users-- Normaly
are given authorisation to only specific transactions ( T.codes)-- like creation
of Sale
order, Delivery, transfer order etc etc.. For eg a person in the
ware house would only be given authorisation to create Transfer orders and not
to create Sale orders. SImilarly a sales person will have the authorisation to
create SOs and
not TOs.
Power Users-- People who have additonal authorisations to change or add data to
make the system adapt to day to day business requirements are power users.
Master record creation,Condition record creation..These people sometimes are
also allowed to view the customisation screens and normaly not allowed to make
any changes in the
customisation.
Consultants-These people (We) mainly work in customisation. their authorisation level
depends on the Server they work on.
For eg: In development server to all screens In testing server except few
critical customisation screen to all screens
In production server-- Not to any screen.. their user role can be changed by the
help of basis to work in production server in case of emergency like they would
like to find
the root cause of the error which happens only in production server and not in
any other server.

I may not tell u the specific details.But my stuff will be little bit usefull.
Once you discover that all the items are not returnable,just think of the below
possibilities with the example.
Customer A's invoice contains 15"Blk Monitors - 50 Nos QTY. say that customer
has sent back (returned) all the monitors considering that all got damaged to
the warehouse.
At warehouse we came to know that, only 30 nos are damaged,and we can sent back
the 20 nos of good monitors to the customer.To do this we can use the Free of
charge
subsequent delivery document in SAP sd.and we can take back the 30 no monitors
to the restricted area,and for this 30 nos of damaged goods we can give credit
note.
Otherwise if u already did all items returned,take permission from the WM to
give Credit note for the entire stock returned for that particular invoive
reference.
Another possibility is that,take back the damaged quantity for that particular
invoice reference and give a credit note for the remaining good quantity value.

there are many kinds of 'usage'. Many of them are hardcoded in the source code,
for example for free goods, packing item generation, retail system...

The only way I know to affect this behavior is use the item usage in the
customer/material info record (details view, tcode VD51, VD52)

You can customize your own in the item customizing tree, and then place it in
the info-record and use it in the item determination.

So the variation between Consignment fillup ( CF) and the Consignment pickup

Answer 1 & 3 are wrong. Question is not understood well so reply is wrong. Q is
How to close sales Order. There are 2 things to be checked/done.
1) Reduce the quantity backt to 60 in the sales order.
2) Check how Billing is created through copy control. See
item category TAS TCode VOV7 BILLING RELEVANCE
If it is "F" order related than it will be billed for 100Pcs whilst delivery is
only 60Pcs. It should be changed to "K" Delivery Related-Invoices for Partial
Quantity
Or "H" Delivery Related-No zero quantity.
So question is tricky to understand that how further billing is effected for
that proper closing is required.
I am 100% sure that this is correct answer. If any question how it is wrong
please explain me.

Once the project is finalised and ready for moving into production server we do
4 different types of testign to remiove bugs ifany they are
1. Unit testing here we do the complete testing of the cycle and see that the if
any errors are theere are reduced or elmiated completely
2. integration testing:

The process of gettign tickest are
Tickets are basically either sent directly to the company mail box or are
loded into a server from where it goes to the helpdesk of the comapny .
Then fromthere is goes to the respected modle manager or the project manager
and from there to the respectie team lead . Once the team lead from where it

respective consultant . Once the ticket comes to him then he logs into the
system using his user id and password and does the required modification or
sloves the problem in the devvelopement server and send a cts to the testing
server who after testign it load back to the production server and the
concerned team member send a detailed mail to the end user expaining him the
issue and the problem as to how he solved it and gets a acknolwdgement from the
end user

the line is also zero but nothings sold. To do this u have to activate negative
posting option and such posting is know as negative posting.

Hi,
In any SAP Project testing can be happen in 3 phases. Unit testing happens in
Dev server.
Integration and User Acceptace Test happens in Quality Server.These all are
done manually step by step.
We have got standard SAP Test Scripts/prepares based on the
Client/company/Project.
Unit Testing: it can be tested in bits and pieces (Ex: Sales order Creation).
Integration Testing: OTC Flow (Create Sales order to Invoice).
User Acceptace done by the Client in "Q", if they are satisifed with the result
they will give Sign-off for the project.
There is another sort of testing so called Automated Regression Testing. that
can be done by eCATT/IBM Rational Tools.

Here
Order- is Header Item.

sub item are having 1:1 relation.Also for information, free goods does not work

BILLING RELEVANCE MAKE IT AS " K " AND WHEN CREATING INVOICE DOCUMENT ENTER
DELIVERY DOCUMENT NO AND CLICK ON SELECTION LIST AND SELECT THE QUANTITY.
