vector along the x-axis , find out the magnitude of resultant vectors and its direction.
Q2.Find the angle b/w A= 2i + 2j k and B=6i - 3j +2k.
Q3.Find the projection of vector A = I 2j + k on to the direction of vector B = 4i 4j + 7k.
Q4.Two vectors A and B are such that |A| =3 , |B|= 4 and A.B = -5 , find the angle b/w |A+B| and |
A-B|.
Q5. Determine the unit vector perpendicular to the plane of A = 2i 6j 3k and B = 4i + 3j k.
Q6.Two sides of a triangle are formed by the vectors A = 3i + 6j 2k and B = 4i j +3k ,
Determine the area of triangle.
Q7. The position vectors of point P and Q are given by r 1=2+3j-k and r2=4i-3j+2k. Determine PQ
in terms of rectangular unit vectors i, j and k and find its magnitude.
Q8: The angle between the vectors A and B is 60. |A|=|B|=1. Calculate |B-A| and |B+A|

CH 3 MOTION (ANY THREE)

Q1: A boy throw the ball upward from the top of a cliff with a speed of 14.7 m/s on the way down
it just misses the thrower and falls on the ground 49m below. Find: how long the ball rises and
how high it goes.
Q2: A 100g bullet is fired by a 10kg gun with a speed of 1000 m/sec. What is the speed of recoil
of the gun.
Q3: A 100 gm bullet is fired into a 12 kg block which is suspended by a long cord. If the bullet is
embedded in the block and the block rise by 5 cm what was the speed of the bullet.
Q4: A machine gun fires 10 bullets per second into a target each bullet of mass 10g and has a
speed of 1500m/s. Find the force necessary to hold the gun in position.
Q5: A mini bus starts from the position of rest at a bus stop with a uniform acceleration during
the 10th second of it motion it covers a distance of 95m. calculate its acceleration and the total
distance it covers in 10 minutes.
