Interpretation.
A BILL
FOR
AN ACT TO ENFORCE THE USE OF NIGERIA NATIONAL FLAGS IN ALL PUBLIC AND PRIVATE
REGISTERED INSTITUTIONS AND NIGERIAN MADE PRODUCTS

Notwithstanding the provision of Section 3 of this Act, This Act shall not apply to local farmers with unfenced
environment.
5. Notwithstanding the provisions of the constitution or any other enactment, prescribing any punishment, any
person or company who mis-use the National Flag, or did not use the National Flag in Contravention of this Act
is guilty of an offence under this Act.
6. Any person or establishment convicted of an offence under this Act by a Court or Tribunal shall be liable upon
conviction to a fine of N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) or a term of imprisonment of not less than
2 years or both.
7. In this Act unless the context otherwise requires.
1. National Flag" means National Flag of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the Flags And Coat Of Arms
Act Chapter 148 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 1990,
2. "Registered company" means a company incorporated or deemed to be incorporated under Companies
And Allied Matters Decree No.1 1990 Act Cap. C20 L.F.N. 2004;

4. Finished Products means Materials or products which have received the final increments of value
through manufacturing or processing operations, and which are being held in inventory for delivery, sale,
or use.
5. "court" or the court" used in relation to a company, means the Federal High Court, and to the extent to
which application may be made to it as court, includes the Court of Appeal and the Supreme court, of
Nigeria; creditors voluntary winding-up" has the meaning assigned to it by section 462(4) Companies And
Allied Matters Decree No.1 1990 Act Cap. C20 L.F.N. 2004;
