1. SCOPE
The scope of this procedure is to guide the execution team to erect the fabricated truss
for workmen restroom.
2. REFERENCE
2.1 Site HSE Plan - 0818-PP-801 Rev 1
2.2 Crane and Lifting Procedure - 4WCE-600500 Rev 3
2.3 Hyco Site Emergency Plan
3. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DETAILED WORK
3.1 Task instruction:Job safety task instruction will be given to all the crew involved in this activity and same
will be recorded prior to start the job. Ensure to conduct a job specific JSTI.
3.2 Preparatory works:
Foundation bolts are to be checked with reference to the fabricated structure and
ensure that the fabricated structure will properly seat on the anchor bolts. Proper tools
and tackles with valid TPI certificates are to be made available as required. Ensure
proper illumination of the area especially while working extended hours.
3.3 Erection of structure:
a) Truss columns of east side are to be erected on the foundation bolts and the nuts are
to be placed and tightened. Likewise all the columns (west, north and south) are erected
on the foundation manually and nuts fastened. All 12 columns will be erected on
foundation.
b) The columns are checked for alignment and preliminary alignment will be carried.
c) The columns will be interconnected with purlin at front and back side with fasteners
except at door positions. The maximum height of the top purlins is 2.2 mtr, so that this
can be done from floor level.
d) Now, two truss members shall be connected with purlins. This assembly will be
performed at ground level. The maximum length of this structure is 5 Mtr.
e) Two end truss structures will be assembled at ground level initially.
f) The end trusses are lifted using F15 and positioned on the base of columns which are
already erected. Taglines shall be tied perpendicular to the truss on either side to
ensure stability and to facilitate guiding the same.

g) This connections are bolted from outside the foundation using step ladder to avoid
going under suspended loads.
h) Similarly the last section is erected.
i) Now, centre A truss will be lifted and positioned on centre poles using F15 and are
bolted from outside using step ladder. Ladder height should be sufficient for the
purpose.
j) Remaining purlinss at either side of centre truss will be bolted to the side by sections
using step ladder. At this point we can use the erected main truss for hooking
retractable safety harness.
k) Progressively ridge sheets will be installed with a minimum overlap of single ridge.
This way the sections are completed and GI sheets can put on the roofs.
l) The 11 x 3.25 feet GI sheets will be placed on the truss manually from outside.
Two workers will be positioning the sheet to the purlin by sitting firmly on the top of the
main structure. Retractable fall arrester shall be worn and hooked to the pre-assembled
anchorage point. This arrangement shall be made with 6 mtr scaffolding pipe erected
vertically throughout the structure and connected together horizontally.
m) Thus entire roofing shall be completed (Refer appendix-A)
n) Now main ridge will be placed and fixed with self-screw tapping using man lift.
o) Lastly the purlins at doors sides are fixed with similar way
4. HSE

induction prior to the entry into the work site. All the personnel shall be aware of the
assembly point in case of emergency. Proper PPEs shall be worn during the execution
of this procedure. Also refer site HSE plan for further compliance of safety.
5. EMERGENCY
Emergency plan shall meet measures for minimizing potential HSE effects through
