I. Current Situation in Brief:
Ratanak Kiri Province
- Ratanak Kiri Province is located in North Eastern of
Cambodia with 588 km from Phnom Penh City.
- Bordering with ATAPEU Province of Lao PDR and closes to
KANTOM and Gia Lai Province of VN.
- There are 9 districts, 49 Commune and 240 Villages

- Population is around 132,628 people, there are 13 Ethnic


Minority Groups.
- The land area is about 11,025 Km2
- In 2007, the population growth is about 6.7%
- The population density is about 12 people/Km2

I. Current Situation in Brief (Cont.):
Stung Treng Province
- Stung Treng province is located in North
North--Eastern of Cambodia
which is about 481km from Phnom Penh City.

- There are 5 districts, 34 commune and 128 Villages.

 Population is about 111, 734 people


 Land Area is 12, 016 Km2.

 The population density is about 9 people/Km2

 There are four rivers flowing across this provinces: Mekong,


Sekong,, Sesan
Sekong Sesan,, and Srer Pork Rvivers

 There are a lots of natural resources, including rubber, mineral
resources, threes etc.

I. Current Situation in Brief (Cont.):
Mundul Kiri Province
- Located in the Northeastern Part of Cambodia
with 387 Km from Phnom Penh City
- Land Area: 14, 682 Km2
- There are 5 districts, 21 communes & 90 Villages
- Population is about 51, 182 people
- The population density is about 3 people/Km2
- Land forest area is about 1, 122,200 hectares
- Land for cultivation is about 225, 125 hectares

1. Revision and adjustment of Master Plan :
various changes in the individual countries as
well as in the region;

2. Inclusion of more sectors and subsectors into


the Master Plan (such as banking, insurances,
mining, etc. make more comprehensive);

3. Make Closer coordination & frequent


communication between central ministries
and agencies with local authorities who
involve with the implementation MP;

4. Enhance Information sharing between the three sides:
websites on the Development Triangle was established
but need to put in English and CLV languages in order
to provide necessary information to development
partners & PS.
5. Reprioritize programs and projects to injecting public
investment into infrastructure development, connecting
three countries;

6. Set up economic corridors, economic centers,industrial


sites, production sites, and tourism spots that connect
provinces with province, and country with country etc.
7. Formulation of the development matrix with code
number, title, summary of projects and programs,
timeframe for implementation, funds needed, progress
made under specific period of time and remarks;

8. Submission of Dev’t Matrix to donors under
different fora and for the government’s funding;

9. Reprioritization of the programmes/projects

with short, medium and long term development
objectives and along with each government
development need and policies;

10. Conduct review meetings at least once a year


and report the outcome to the JCC;

11. Keep existing mechanism and structures and


make more coordination with dialogue partners

12. Mobilize supports from other donors, such as
ADB and WB, and other regional cooperation
programs, such as GMS, IAI/ASEAN, Mekong-
Mekong-
Japan, etc.;

13. Vietnam will play the coordination role to


mobilize support to revise and update the Master
Plan and also convene the working group
meeting as soon as possible to discuss the
concretization and revisions of the Master Plan.

14. Finalize framework for formulation of Special


Preferential Policies and effectively implement it.
