FUNCTIONAL DOCUMENT
1) Gate Module (GM)

The Gate automation module mainly consists of a camera which is used for
License Plate Recognition and RFID which supports this system to avoid faking of
license plate. For the recognition of license plate in all light conditions we use two
cameras which can be enhanced with flash. The informations from the GM are send to
a proposed server and if the server authenticate these data, the gate will open and the
slot allotted for the vehicle to park is displayed. For allocating a free slot for the vehicle,
we need a module called Parking Bay Module that monitors the parking space.
2) Parking Bay Module (PBM)

Training
The PBM consists of a camera which can cover maximum number of bays
according to the distance available between the camera and parking bays. At the time
of installation we can train the module by using a user friendly application. An object
will be placed at each bay and by using the application we teach the module so that
PBM comes to know the corresponding bay number. Each bay is covered by multiple
PBMs, thus application provides provision for selecting the best image that captures
the bay clearly. To check the alignment of the camera, boundary points are set so
that the server will come to know whether the camera is at the focus point or not.

After teaching, PBM comes to know the bay at which the vehicle is parked and
recognize the License number plate. Then PBM simultaneously uploads information to
the server and alerts when the vehicle enters a wrong bay.
3) Exit Gate Module (EGM)
EGM includes two cameras which is used to recognize the vehicle using license
plate detection. Then it update the server with the corresponding information from
EGM that the specified vehicle is left and the slot that it occupied is vacant.
