Happy New Year

from brandy ingle

Thank You!
I hope to see you in passing as I go to Spain, and to be helped on my journey there by you, once I
have enjoyed your company for a while. (Romans 15:24, ESV)
Beloved, it is a faithful thing you do in all your eorts for these brothers and sisters, strangers as
they are, who tesJed to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their journey
in a manner worthy of God. For they have gone out for the sake of the name, accepJng nothing from
the GenJles. Therefore we ought to support people like these, that we may be fellow workers for the
truth. (3 John 5-8, ESV)
My family and friends and partners, you have loved me well during this year in America. I have truly
enjoyed your company. You pray for me on a regular basis. You have taken care of my needs
faithfully, beyond what I could have ever imagined. Thank you!
In just a few weeks Im going back to another of my temporary homes. I have plenty of mixed
emoHons. When I think about Papua New Guinea, I get so excited to see my Ukarumpa family - to
hug on their necks and hear all about their lives, to get back into work - teaching math at the
Secondary Campus of our school and helping out in the Finance Oce, and to be back into the swing
of the simple life in my li8le house. When I think about leaving America, my heart grows heavy as I
know I have to leave so many people I love - my family (especially my nephews!), my old friends, my
new friends, my church; the ease of the American life; and the tons of free Hme I had to spend in
Scripture.

Ill be doing a lot of traveling in
January - from Charlo8e to
Johannesburg, South Africa, where Ill
stay a few days, then from there on to
Papua New Guinea! Please pray for
smooth travels!
When I return to PNG, Ill have a week
to get se8led, get over jet-lag, and
prepare for teaching one class that
Ive taught before and another that
Ive never taught. Im going to need a
lot of grace to get through that!
Pray for my heart, and the hearts of
family and friends that I wont see for
a while. ParHng ways will be hard!

As you enjoy this season with your family and friends, and as you go into the new year, I pray that
God opens your hearts and minds to reveal Himself to you in ways that He never has before.
Remember not only why we celebrate this season, but why it all had to start with a baby in a
manger.
The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world And the Word became esh
and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of
grace and truth. (John 1:9,14)
This babys coming was to accomplish and establish peace between the God of all creaJon and His
image-bearers who habitually rejected Him. (Russ Ramsey, Behold the Lamb of God)

When I arrive back in PNG, Ill

have a week to prepare for
school to start back. Im
teaching 2 classes this
semester - Pre-Algebra (grade
8) and Algebra 1 (grade 9)!

Because the Finance Office in

Ukarumpa is short-staffed,
they have asked me to work
half of my time there. Im
excited to work alongside
these precious people again!

My sister, Jessica, got

married on November
7! I loved being a part
of their wedding as her
maid of honor. And I
love having a new
brother in Sam!

Christmas was perfect!

Here are pictures of
each of our family
celebrations.

On one visit to Atlanta, I got to hang

out with Christen and her littles in a
pumpkin patch!

One of my favorites came to

visit me for a few days. I love
my times with Mouse!

Paul had a really good

friend who looked
out for him and met
his needs... May the
Lord grant mercy to
the household of
Onesiphorus, for he
o8en refreshed me
and was not ashamed
of my chains, but
when he arrived in
Rome he searched for me earnestly and found me - may the Lord grant
him to nd mercy from the Lord on that Day! - and you well know all the
service her rendered at Ephesus.
(2 Timothy 1:16-18)
Joy has been my Onesiphorus. Thanks, dear.

I got to speak at Mt.

Anderson Baptist
Church, a new parter
in my ministry!
