Dear Praying Friends,

What a great year it has been! It is so good to stop and reflect on the many ways that
the Lord has blessed us over the past twelve months!

Our main emphasis this year has been the planting of Igreja Batista em Vila Cardoso.
Though we know that having a name and a building is not what makes a church, it has been
good to have weekly services there, and it also serves as a reference point as we witness to
people throughout the week. We continue to have a good number of children attend and are
praying that the Lord will give us more adults to whom we can minister as well. In the past
several months several families have moved away, which has left a hole in our Sunday
School crowd, but Its been neat to see God replace them with new families that have moved
into the area! Please continue to pray for those with whom weve been working, both in the
church services and throughout the week, that Gods Word would break through their
religion and convict them of their need for salvation!

For Christmas this year, Tracy made hundreds of American-Style gingerbread
cookies which we divided up into gift baggies and distributed to about thirty of our closest
neighbors and friends. Most of the neighbors were both surprised and delighted to receive
these gift baggies and get a taste of American Christmas.

Our children, of course, are loving the Christmas and New Years break from school
and are taking advantage of it by reading or playing outside almost all day in the 85-95
degree weather - not quite the same as a cold, white Christmas in the states! I would ask for
your prayers for Tracys arthritis. She was born with Rheumatoid Arthritis, but in the past
ten years it has bothered her only sporadically. However, for the past two months it has
flared up and is causing a considerable amount of pain, primarily in her knees. We have
entered the rainy season here, so that may be part of the cause of the flare-up, but wed
appreciate your prayers for that.

As we look ahead to the new year, we are excited to see what the Lord may have in
store for us. We are praying that the Lord will allow us to continue the ministry that has
begun here, reaching many people for Christ, with the result of a strong, permanent church
here in Rondonpolis. We are also planning a short furlough to the States later in the year
to visit our supporting churches on the west coast which we were not able to visit in 2013,
and are looking forward to that as well!

Thank you for your continued prayers and support for us and the ministry here!

God Bless! - Omar Schrock and Family, Rondonpolis, Brazil
