Course Description:

An introduction to the understanding and application of


Engineering Numerical Methods to solve engineering problems.
To be able to solve engineering problems using Numerical
Techniques and Matlab as the programming tool.
As per flow chart.

The homework is essential for learning the course material and
doing well in the class. Exam problems will be based on concepts
from the class work and homework. Course documents and
assignments will be posted in Blackboard under Course
Documents and Assignments, check weekly.
Selected assignments will be collected.
Attendance is expected. All formal lecture notes will be posted to
Blackboard, but additional material provided in class may not be.
Exam #1 (5th week): 12 February

Grading scale will be as follows:
A= 95-100 %, A- = 90-94.9 %, B+ = 87-89.9 %, B = 83-86.9 %, B= 80-82.9 %, C+ = 77-79.9 %, C = 73-76.9 %, C - = 70-72.9 %, D+
= 67-69.9 %, D = 63-66.9 %, D- = 60-62.9 %, F= less than 60%
Attendance and Homework will affect borderline grades
Cheating is strictly prohibited and violation will result in a grade
