The Cosasco ReFacer Tool provides an economical

alternative to replacing corroded or damaged Access
Fittings. In certain aggressive environments the sealing
face of an access fitting can become corroded without
propermaintenance.Acorrodedsealingfacecanprevent
the service valve from creating a seal with the access
fitting which can result in leakage when service valve is
used. The ReFacer Tool allows the user to reface the

sealingfaceofanaccessfittingtoremoveanyanomalies
andrestoresthesealingface.
TheReFacertoolworksbyrotatingtheupperringofthe
baseassemblyaroundtheaccessfitting.Athreadedstar
wheel mechanism advances the cutting tool across the
access fitting face as the ring rotates. A mechanical trip
turns the star wheel one notch on each rotation which
movesthetoolholderforwardalongthetrack.
