Ross: This process meant we could use various platforms and technology; how to learn to use iMovie
effectively with different techniques, such as cutting to the beat in between clips to make jump cuts
especially when doing what we did in the clip that youve just seen; making the story faster and keeping
the story going. To make this work we needed to learn how to use the Apple Macs so we could import
the footage onto iMovie, as well as learning how to use Photoshop.
Through this process we didnt have many technical issues and most things worked the way we wanted
to, however the point when we needed to download the song off unsigned.com, being an unpopular
artist and unknown song it was hard to find on websites such as YouTube. Therefore when we finally
got the track it glitches and missed out some shots.
Becky: We did then use a website which was linked to SoundCloud which was recommended to us, so
we could download the clip with good clarity and managed to download the clip and import it into
iTunes.
Ross: We feel our biggest problem was when we realised that we didnt film some of the clips in HD
mode on the camera or the auto focus so the clips were blurred and unfocused, therefore we went out
and re filmed the shots that we needed to get as there was no other way to overcome this issue, as well
as getting more shots.
Becky: When re-filming we used shots from our ancillaries; so by using the mask in the narrative it
created this focus and attachment of an associating feature, creating our band image to use on our
ancillaries, being the highlighted feature on our magazine advert and Digipak as well.

Becky: We used the same colour scheme on both of our digipaks, purple and red identifying our band
image. We also created our own font on both of the ancillaries on the putting them onto the MacBook
so we could type in that font into our ancillaries, such as our lyrics, giving it as consistent theme of
typography giving our package a professional look with it being complete and consistent. Finally we
used our artist on the cover as well as the mask to give the synergetic link so the audience would
recognise the artist if they out into a shop for example, knew who that artist is.
Ross: We feel that we had three elements of production and portrayed these well as the audience
would know who this band is through the elements that are portrayed, e.g. a music channel or a public
place being able to connect together. We feel that we have been very successful and improved a lot
from our ancillaries. So thank you for listening to our commentary on our music video.
Becky: Thank you.
