Senior Information Architect

Undertook IA consulting for a national Flora heart health and cardiovascular risk website, attending meetings with
key personnel regarding the direction the website should take and ensuring the user experience was cohesive. I
produced the following IA deliverables during this contract:

• A fully functioning annotated prototype of the website (produced in Axure RP).


• A comprehensive functional requirements document covering all elements of the user experience (200
pages).
• User profiles. site maps, conceptual models and use cases.

I also undertook the IA work for a ‘Day for life Assessor’ tool designed to help those with rheumatoid arthritis,
attending meetings from the beginning of the project providing guidance on the IA approach and user experience
considerations. I produced the following IA deliverables for this project:

• Use cases/flows detailing the various user journeys through the system.
• A comprehensive site map schematic detailing the structure of pages within the system.
• A comprehensive set of wireframes (including functional requirements) mapping out the organisation of
information within each page in the system.

mechanics/operation for the new Quantum of Solace Bond site, which has just launched. As part of the

designing the Information Architecture for the new global XPERIA micro site – Sony Ericsson’s most important
handset launch to date – the XPERIA being a direct rival to the iPhone. I attended regular meetings with clients,

requirements and advising on the IA approach.

THE PLAYING FIELDS

1997 – 2000

Web Master/IT Manager

The Playing Fields was an organisation which promoted and hosted large scale PC gaming events, the Playing
venue was based in Rathbone place and featured a state of the art gaming LAN with hardware and software
sponsored by various companies including Microsoft and AMD. The Playing Fields created and ran the official
UK PC Games Championships and were pivotal in increasing the recognition of gaming as a sport, even
petitioning for PC gaming to be included in the Olympic games.

• Undertook the Information Architecture and design of the company’s two websites: The Playing Fields
website and the official UK PC Games Championship website.
• Undertook the wesbite development (CGI and Perl) and updating of each of the websites.
• Promoted the websites through various channels including Google (beta at the time) and tracked metrics
and usage statistics.
• Managed the server platform on which the websites were hosted.
• Liasied regularly with the company directors updating them on the status of the websites.
