MLS WORKS OVERVIEW


As the Leagues community outreach initiative, MLS WORKS is dedicated to
addressing important social issues and serves as a platform for League and Club
philanthropic programs.
Key Objectives
Work closely with Clubs to ensure national programs have local benefit and local programs are
promoted nationally
Target key social issues identified by MLS fans

MLS WORKS-KEY INITIATIVES


Unite. Volunteer. Serve. The Leagues community service program seeks to galvanize the
soccer community in a collaborative effort to combine sport and service, promote goodwill within
MLS markets and improve lives and communities at the grassroots level.

TWO (2) 12-WEEK SEASONS DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR
MINIMUM OF 3 DAYS PER WEEK (2 PRACTICES & 1 GAME DAY)
MINIMUM OF 75 MINUTE PRACTICES (K-2ND GRADE) AND 90 MINUTES (3RD-8TH GRADE)
EACH PARTICIPANT RECEIVES: JERSEY, SOCKS, SHINGUARDS AND A BALL

Soccer for success programs currently EXIST in all U.S. markets (initial conversations
have taken place in Salt Lake and Columbus)
