In the 1930s, Pirellis advertising campaigns began to reflect the latest in graphic trends. This
shift, based on the integration of technological and human culture, reached its zenith in the postwar period. Notable names in the school of Italian graphic design, as well as renowned
international draughtsmen, worked on advertising for Pirelli products, helping to create an
authentic Pirelli style, which itself came to symbolise quality, innovation and experimentation.
This compendium of Pirelli heritage contains over 450 works made by over 200 world-famous
artists, and represents a cross-section of the history of the figurative arts, graphic design, and
corporate communication.

and the ways in which they change. A project of reanimating a landscape that is capable of
offering new employment and economic diversification for the sustainable development of the
countrys inland areas. Accompanied by illustrations by Valerio Vidali and numerous infographics,
the book discusses VENTOs gentle revolution that is pedalling its way through the landscape.

Transformers
Corraini Editore 2015 ISBN 9788875705374 Acqn 25820
Pb 24x28cm 184pp col ills 37.95
We are immersed in a reality that is constantly transforming: new technologies and the
relationship between digital and individual create a universe in which the subject must constantly
adapt and change to the surroundings in order to understand the world and express itself.
'Transformers', the book which accompanies an exhibition at the MAXXI in Rome, fits into this
logic. Through their work, four artists from four different countries express their views on
contemporary mutability. Choi Jeong Hwa, Martino Gamper, Pedro Reyes and Didier Fiuza
Faustino are, in some way, transformers: weapons become musical instruments, chairs are
made from handmade fabrics.
