Olympia.

Before the age of ancient Greece, the world did

their

studies

were

used

to

teach

in

the

subsequent ages of Romans and other western


cultures.

The Acropolis of is an ancient citadel located on a high rocky outcrop above the
city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great
architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon.

The Colosseum or Coliseum , also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre is an


oval amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. Built of concrete and

stone, it is the largest amphitheatre ever built and is considered one of the
greatest works of architecture and engineering.

Roman legal system, which dominated Western law and government for
centuries. The basis for early Roman law came from the Twelve Tables, a
code that formed an essential part of the constitution during the Republican

era.
Many ancient Roman structures like the Pantheon, the Colosseum and the
Roman Forum are still standing today thanks to the development of Roman
cement and concrete. The Romans first began building with concrete over

2,100 years ago and used it throughout the Mediterranean basin in everything
from aqueducts and buildings to bridges and monuments.
