Performance

In the world of high-tech marine products, four series of marine

engines head the field with innovation, technology, performance
and value. These engines are setting the standards for other
marine engines to follow. The Series 60, Series 183, Series
2000 and Series 4000 have rapidly become the engines of
choice for discriminating yachtsmen. Overlapping power ranges
make them the perfect power for yachts ranging from 45 to
100 and beyond.

...from 45 to 100 and beyond.

Performance is what todays yachtsman demands...and not just

from the engine. Performance from the organization that
provides the engine; performance from the engineering staff that
designs the engine; performance from the distributors and
dealers who provide the parts and service support...

...we define performance

its performance that makes the difference.

steel piston for long life
Corrosion-resistant valves and valve seats
Modular titanium heat exchanger for long life and easy cleaning
Block heaters for cold weather starting
Ceramic chrome piston rings for long life at high RPM
High-capacity oil pump for maximum piston cooling and bearing life
Endurance-tested in heavy-duty commercial applications
200 billion miles of on-highway experience
Top liner cooling for reduced ring temperature
Every engine dyno tested
Five-year limited warranty with no limit on engine hours
The cylinder block has cast-in ribs for added strength
and reduction of overall weight and noise
The patented top liner cooling allows engine coolant to circulate to the
top of the cylinder liner. This reduces temperature of the oil, piston, liner
and ring, which means long life even at prolonged high speeds.
The crankshaft is drop forged for strength, heat treated to relieve internal
stress, induction hardened for long life, and statically and dynamically
balanced for smooth operation
Eight head bolts surround every cylinder with a combined
clamp load of over 1,000,000 lbs.

Silicone hoses and stainless steel hose clamps are used on all
water connectors
The turbocharger is sized for maximum acceleration
