1.2 Back ground
Nepal is a poor & small land locked country in south Asia between China
in the north & India in the South east & west.
The country covers 1,47,181sq.km with the population of 25 million,
83% of Nepal falls in hill & mountain legions where the density of population is
thin and 17.1 of Nepal falls in the Teri region where the density of population is
thick or nearly 47% of the population live in rural area with subsistence
farming.
Nepal is known as the hilly country where many more areas are in hilly
regions. Nepalese people have not seen the light of modernization even in the
21st century. Until many places have sufficient perquisites of development, this
is our better but fact truth of our society. In the hilly region, Including
Makwanpur Gadhi, majority people are living under the poverty line where
many more early children are insisted to live with naked & with hunger due top
the poverty. Their situation and conditions are bitter & miserable. They are also
neglected or avoided from the light of an education only 25% of the total early
children has got the opportunity for career development where the remaining
are neglected to have opportunity.
An ECCD is a vital project which facilitates the community children.
Non ECCD children remain at home uncured & neglected. The parents who
have been destined to fight a hardest struggle for meeting the day to day family
needs naturally cannot pay people care & love for their better growth &
development. The aspect of socialization is still deteriorating since a child
having no access of ECCD centers shows on abnormal character either by
running away or by hiding behind something else. These characters are not
defiantly the sign of goodness. Again the feeding habits\ routine of the non
-2-
ECCD is still worse. The children who are to be fed three or four times daily are
compelled to society themselves two meals of the day. The nutritional portion in
the daily feeding item is another serious threat to non ECCD in still worse. The
children who are to be fed three or four times daily are compelled to satisfy
them selves with two meals of the day. The nutritional portion in the daily
feeding items is another serious threat to ECCD children. On the other hand non
ECCD children have less opportunity in the immunization as well. Health &
sanitary aspect of the ECCD children is still vigorous. In the lack of parent
awareness or above mentioned issues the bright stars of the nation have
remained in the shadow.
From the above analysis of the ECCD children it is vivid that the ECCD
program in the different communities of Gadhi VDC of Makwanpur district in a
tonic which can cure the disease of malnutrition, unsocialization, uneducation &
poverty. There fore ECCD center is a place where children of 3-5 years
physically feel comfortable and emotionally as it they are at home. In the other
word an ECCD center is a bridge which links the children between home and
primary schools.
1.3 Objective of Report writing:Report Writing is the appropriate process which helps any individuals or
group (to) get correct information about any project or Firm. I have selected this
topic to give the correct information about the condition or situation of ECCD
children of Gadhi VDC of Makwanpur district. This district is also one of the all
most rural areas where many poor people, family & communities are bearing
bite & miserable situation in the name of poverty. Being the inhabitant of this
district; Current situation of this district is necessary to know. So I have selected
this topic due to the fowling objectives.
1) To make a comparative assessment between ECCD & Non ECCD
child.
2) To analyze the implementation of ECCD center and there mentioning,
supervision & training system to ECCD parents.
-3-
-4-
This report writing has been prepared with in the boundary of forums
rules. In other word I have prepared this report writing undo the given
boundaries provided by the forum in which no any informations are collected
that can breakdown the privacy of the forum. I have tried to provide actual
information about the ECCD centers and ECCD child, there parents and
development of the communities through this report writing respecting norms &
value of the forum even various obstacles were to be found in order to prepare
this proposals.
1.6 Fieldwork procedure:This fieldwork is based on the data gathered from field investigation.
Following procedures were adopted at the time of preparation of report writing.
1) At first I prepared an outline because it is essential to plan its contents
well.
2) After setting my outline, I setup my time table because my college had
given the fixed time for sub missing the report.
3) In the 3rd step, I went to the field for collecting the data I went to the
Rural Development Forum (Gadhi) for getting the appropriate &
needed data. I was also gone to ECCD center about to observe the
internal & external situation of ECCD child.
After the above mentioned produce, I have tried to write the proposal
based on the available data and information. I had also contacted with the forum
as needed necessary help of them. So I can say that in first chapter, I have
included introduction and limitation of field work, purpose of report writing and
limitation of fieldwork. In the 2nd chapter I have presented data analysis and
study Results and in the 3rd chapter, summary and concluding including
recommendations are included.
1.7 Methodology of fieldwork:This study was conducted in Gadhi VDC. Shikharkateri of Makwanpur
district. The primary and data and secondary data both were an included or
-5-
collected from the Rural Development forum office and ECCD center. I had
also gone to the local communities and questionnaire them for collecting the
raw data. By doing libratory survey to know about the condition of ECCD
children health and sanitary aspect of them, political racial, gender segregations
and attitude of communities people towards ECCD program. Here interviews
were also con ducted through respective persons for primary data collection
which was helped to me to collect actual data in time.

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION & RECOMMENDATION
3.1 Summary:ECCD Implementation, Supervision and Training project in a rural
development based project conducted through Rural Development forum in
Gadhi VDC of Makwanpur district. Its main aims objectives are to remove the
Social problems such as political, Racial, gender segregation existing in the
communities and create maximum opportunities for the orphans, Disabled, old
people & unemployed people etc through parental education.
In the beginning phase the project had to face some problems due to the
high illiteracy rate in that area, lock of balance diet of food to children and
unknown about the ECCD centers. At that time, Non ECCD child remained at
home. Un cared & neglected. The parents who had been destined to fight a
hardest struggle for meeting the day to day family needs naturally cannot pay
proper care and love for there growth and development. But after launching the
program, the brightness has been shinning in the face of community people.
Communities member have been benefited through different training scheme
including parental education awareness training. Therefore this project has
really helped them in the field of education, sanitation and other sector at Gadhi
VDC.
Conclusion:I have observed that ECCD implementation, Supervision and training
project is really appropriate its that region. After launching the program living
standard of community people has been rising gradually, Social evils are
mitigated and issue of children are floated a side parents there economical
status. Attitudes of parents towards children, domestic violence and child labor
exploitation are remarkably degraded or minimized. Community people, ECCD
parents, local CBOs women co operatives, local representatives are reminded
on the necessity of ECCD program.
