III. SURVEY
Why Presidential canditates and their running mates vary in votings.
In these partnerships, the more important person is the presidential candidate. Due to this, their
running mates often focus more of the crowds attention to the presidential candidates than the
running mate. Obviously the Presidential candidate gets more advertising that may be the reason
why many of the partners in being candidates have different votings. Another factor to consider
is the varied opinions of each of the 90 million people living in the Philippines. Depending on
the characteristics, personality, gender, or even looks, can be a driving factor each person has in
voting. Whether what they propose is persuading or intriguing to person can change one's
perspective of that person that may drive them to vote or not vote the person. Even if they are
both candidates and partners, the opinions of people vary differently from the presidential
candidate to their running mate. Background story, race, legality, or authenticity, are some of the
factors people also take to account for. This also includes religion, or even favoritsm. Either way,
most reasons why their votes are different from each other is because of the various opinions of
people about who they are, what they do, why they do it, where, and how they do. Both of the
members of the partnership have different characteristics, which may lead some to believe that
they are not suitable political partners depending on their opinion. The bottom line is to have a
president and a vice President to run the country in the right order, in order for that to happen
good chemistry must come unto the to highest authorities in the country. What one lacks must be
sustained by the other. So every factor must be considered so vote wisely. People try to find the
best people to run the nation, and with different beliefs and opinions, different people in multiple
political parties are voted by different persons because it is their opinon on who they think could
partner together to effectively run our country; because at the end, it's not about the government
or the candidates. It's for the future of our country.
IV. CONCLUSION
Filipino citizens vote does have a power to change the future of our country. That power is your
privilege as a Filipino. Its a privilege you inherited from our heroes in the past who sacrificed
their lives to ensure that our generation can enjoy the freedom of choice, especially the freedom
to choose the people who will lead our country. A wise vote could bring peace and prosperity to
our country. On the other hand, a wrong vote could bring poverty, corruption, conflict, and layers
of layers of man-made disasters to our nation. Living in a country which is led by an incompetent
and corrupt president is a nightmare.
We only exercise our right to elect a president once in every six years. So dont waste your vote.
What will happen to your hard-earned taxes if we will be governed by a corrupt president? Will
it be utilized for building our nation or the other way around? What will happen when natural
disasters strike your town or region? Can you expect an effective and efficient rescue, relief and
recovery operations? Will there be an effective justice system to punish all types of criminals to
ensure that our country is safe and secure for our children? Do you want to live in a country
where the president and his family are consuming and enjoying the wealth of our nation yet
millions of Filipinos are suffering from famine and poverty? Do you want a president who will
sell our country for the love of money? Of course not. If you love your country, know your vote.
