Riverside-Corona Feeder. The entity to receive funding for these projects is the Western
Municipal Water District, located at 450 Alessandro Boulevard, Riverside, CA, 92508. The

I am requesting funding in the FYlO Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies
Appropriations Act to complete a sUldy in the lower Colorado River Basin of Texas. The entity
to receive funding for tills project is the lower Colorado River Authority. lCRA Headquarters
are located at 3700 lake Austin Boulevard, Austin, Texas, 78703.
The funding would be used to complete the draft interim feasibility sUldies for the highland
lakes. The study area is bounded by the Guadalupe, lavaca, and Colorado-lavaca river basins
on the west, and the Brazos and Brazos-Colorado basins on the east. Tills sUldy is investigating
water resource problems, needs, and opporUlnities to determine whether improvements for
flood risk management, ecosystem restoration and protection, water quality, water supply and

Management Plan (DMMP) for Long Island Sound. Failure to complete the EIS by
the EPA for the eastern sites by 2011 will impact the viability of dredging projects in

operational viability of water-dependent uses in the New London Harbor area,
including critical US Navy and Coast Guards bases, marine based commerce, marine
transport of petroleum products and other cargo, and the extensive recreational
boating industry in Connecticut.

The funding would be used for enhancing the quality of life for people living in areas known as
Colonias and educate residents on the importance of energy conservation. These settlements
of land are home to poor, largely Hispanic residents along the 248-mile stretch of the Texas-
Mexico border, from Cameron County to EI Paso County. The settlements have no
sophisticated water and sewer systems, electricity, health facilities, paved roads or safe,
sanitary housing.
