he present scenario, according to news fall in the media had raised a question
whether Mr. Barack Obama Would be Re-elected as President of America for the
next term. Nevertheless, when we go for analyzing such question astrologically,

we have to discard all the news fall and base our forecast, if at all, we can, on the astrological
tools purely.
The birth details of Mr. Obama & Mitt Romney were given to me as under:
Birth Data:
Barack Obama -August 04, 1961; 07:24 pm ; Honolulu, HI
Mitt Romney -March 12, 1947; 09: 51 am ; Detroit, MI
I have rectified their birth times according my system with Sri Sanatan Ayanamsha as
19.24.02 hours for Mr. Obama and 09.25.25 for Mitt Romney respectively. My analysis, thus
based on these horoscopes as well as the New Samvatsar Vishwavasu 2069 Vikrami (2012-13
AD) for U.S.A. that had already been analysed in the Annual (Jan-March 2012) Issue of The
Times of Astrology in world Predictions for 2012-13 as the election of new President of
America would be elected and take oath during the currency of this Samvatsar Vishwavasu
2069 Vikrami (2012-13 AD) itself.

If you look at cuspal Bhava Chalit (Niryana) chart for Samvatsar Vishwavasu 2069 Vikrami
(2012-13 AD) of USA, you will find that retrograde Saturn is the 9th, 10th & 11th sign lord and
placed in 5th house. By virtue of being retrograde, according to me, it would act as if it is the
sign lord of 8th, 9th & 10th houses placed in 4th house. The Upa-nakshatra (Sub)lord of 10th
house is Jupiter which is also the Upa-nakshatra (Sub)lord of 4th, 9th and 12th house and
placed in 12th house with Venus & Ketu. This Jupiter is in the Nakshatra of Venus and in
Upa-nakshatra (Sub) of retrograde Mars which is not the Upa-nakshatra (Sub) lord of any
house but Nakshatra lord of 10th house placed in 4th house. Since, Mars is also retrograde,
according to me, it should be treated as if it is the Nakshatra lord of 9th house and placed in
3rd house. Placement is more important than the lordship for any planet. Thus despite of all
ill influence w.r.t. 10th house in this chart, the change in the Leadership of the country under

consideration is not marked. This may be the reason that The Times of Astrology also did
not predict about the change in the Leadership of USA during 2012-13 AD.
Keeping the above analysis of Samvatsar Chart at back of mind, let us first analyse the
horoscope of Mr. Mitt Romney having his Ascendant being fixed by me at the fag end of
Aries at 29degrees 58 minutes and 37 seconds with Sri Sanatan Ayanamsha value at 22degrres
51 minutes 32 seconds.

Why did I change it by rectifying his birth time is a valid question. Even Dr. B.V.Raman
used to say that no native has his birth time correctly recorded and it has to be corrected
astrologically. Then, there are divergent opinions about the correct birth time as to which
time should be taken as birth time. I would be diverting the topic in hand if I continuing
about the need & methodology of Birth Time Rectification, which in itself a separate huge

topic. Therefore coming to back to the horoscope of Mr. Mitt Romney, I find that he is
under sway of Sun-Mercury period w.e.f. 09th April 2012 to14th Feb. 2013 when these events
of election and oath taking, both would happen. His Sun is 1st and 10th Nakshatra lord and
placed in 11th house alongwith Mars & retrograde Mercury in the Cuspal Chart. This Sun is
in the Nakshatra of Jupiter and Upa-nakshatra of Venus. Neither Sun nor Jupiter or Venus
having any connection to his 6th house. Rather his Jupiter is placed in 7th house representing
his opponent. So, he can trouble his opponent during Sun major period but hardly defeat
him. The Bhukti lord Mercury is retrograde and it does not get Upa-nakshatra lordship over
any house except being sign lord of 3rd & 6th houses and Nakshatra lord of 8th placed in 11th.
According to me, since it is retrograde, it would be taken as if it is sign lord of 2 nd & 5th
houses & Nakshatra lord of 7th house placed in 10th house. His Mercury is in Nakshatra &
Upa- Nakshatra of Jupiter which is placed in 7th house as 7th Nakshatra lord & 12th sign lord.
This configuration is also beneficial to the opponent only and not for himself. When neither
Dasha nor Bhukti is supporting his election, it would be futile exercise to into Pratyantar,
Sookshma & Praan Dashas during the currency of known events.
Let us now discuss Mr. Barack Obamas horoscope.

He is running under Saturn-Saturn period w.e.f. 14th May 2012 to 18th May 2015. His Saturn is
retrograde and it is not Upa- Nakshatra lord of any house but Nakshatra lord of 10th house
placed in 12th house. Since it is retrograde, according to me it should be treated as if it is
Nakshatra lord of 9th house placed in 11th house. As said earlier, the placement is more
important than the lordship for any planet without being exception to Saturn. Hence, despite
the play of 9th house, the Saturn may not allow his ouster being placed in 11th as discussed
above due to its retrograde motion in the horoscope. Furthermore, Saturn is in the Nakshatra
of Sun and Upa- Nakshatra of Jupiter, which is again a retrograde planet placed in 12th house
as 8th Upa- Nakshatra lord; 2nd & 6th Nakshatra lord and 2nd, 11th, & 12th sign lord. The Sun is
4th & 8th Nakshatra lord only & placed in 6th house. Here, the 6th house is clearly prominent
by the position of Sun in 6th house, the loss house to his opponent represented by 7th house.
Since the Upa- Nakshatra lord of Dasha/Bhukti lord Saturn is Jupiter in retrograde motion,
this Jupiter should be treated as if it is placed in 11th house as 1st, 10th and 11th sign lord and 1st &
5th Nakshatra lord alongwith 7th Upa- Nakshatra lord. Since position is stronger than the

lordship, the placement treated in 11th for Jupiter becomes more prominent and overriding the
other different rulerships of houses not conducive for 6th house. 11th house is 6th to 6th and
thus it becomes improving for 6th house with all kinds of signals not favouring him.

So, on 4th November 2012, its Sat-Sat-Sat-Jup-Rahu period till 20.45 hours that may create
some confusion till evening of 4th November 2012. Just thereafter, is Sat-Sat-Sat-MerMercury period that is properly favourable to him. On 20th January 2013, it would be Sat-SatMer-Mon-Venus period which cannot not allow his opponent to take oath of the highest
office of President of America.
Thus, my considered opinion based on all the three horoscopes is that there would be a very
very narrow gap of votes but the destiny of Mr. Barack Obama would outwit the destiny of
Mr. Mitt Romney to try his luck next time.
