Our speaker this month is a sixth generation Californian. Her parents are ranchers
and farmers in Siskiyou County, a Northern California Ag area under heavy environmental attack. An avid researcher for truth, and a modern day Paul Revere, Debbie
speaks for freedom and private property rights while exposing the details of United
Nations Agenda 21 and its exhaustive web. She attended the 2012 Rio Earth
Summit/United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development. Debbie is known
for a lively and interactive presentation! She speaks on private property and water
rights, the attack on rural America, the threats to farmers, ranchers, food, dams,
water supply, overregulation, the One Bay Area Plan and Regionalism attempts in
California and government corruption. In 2012, Debbie ran for Congress in the 14th
District. She is a Certified Sommelier, a Certified Event Professional, and a biotech
consultant. Debbie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Notre Dame de Namur
with a BS in Business and a Masters in Business Management.

Presidents Message
January 2016

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

My goodness! I dont know about you, but has this year gone faster
than you that it would? January was just here and I looked and said, Oh, my!
What a long year ahead! To my surprise, it didnt happen that way. With my
head to the grindstone, the year wore down to the end. What was accomplished? Well, in HRWF we increased membership, finances, and fun!
Because we went to emailing your newsletters, we saved $300 a
month. For those still choosing to receive them via snail mail and not printing
them from your computers, your cost was $12.00 a year. Please know that I
totally understand your choice. I prefer books to Kindle. Theres something
about having a book in ones hands..
As a result of the savings, however, we can pay for the registration for all members choosing to attend our
Spring Conference at the end of January. I do hope you will take my invitation seriously and attend. You would
leave for the conference on Friday and stay at the Crowne Plaza in Sacramento for $124 per night single or double
occupancy, and leave about 12:00 for home on Sunday. Because of Presidential responsibilities and those of
Regional Director, Ill be there a day earlier. Id so love to have you attend and catch the magic.
We have so many wonderful things already of the agenda for 2016! Debbie Baciagalupe and a wild and
wooly White Elephant sale are on the docket for January. Debbie attended the Paris Climate Change Conference in
Paris and will be reporting to us regarding her take on the event. In February, Im looking at asking Sheriff Mike
Downey to speak on immigration; March might be Cindy Broese and the Pregnancy Care Center. I just contacted
U.S. Senatorial candidate Rocky Chavez to join us for a meeting. He is interested in joining us for a luncheon event.
Dont forget our fundraising activities! As Ive already mentioned, we have a White Elephant Sale in January
and were looking for items you no longer are using that are in superior shape which you think others may enjoy.
Bring them to our meeting with an idea of how much you think we should ask for. Well supply the stickers for the
prices you assign for each item. This is a fun event! I have purchased wonderful soap from France as well as beautiful necklace from France as well. Thank you, Lora!
February will be our opportunity to donate in cash what you would be spending on Valentines Day baking.
In March we take a break. Then in April, along with our IRS form, we have our Membership Tea. You now, we really
do have a great time with each other, dont we?
If youve been having fun, why not ask your friends and neighbors to join us? January is Membership Month.
We won three certificates at our last conference for membership increase. Why not continue the tradition? You all
pretty much know of people who need to get involved. Lets make it a point to each invite another person to
attend our next meeting. Our Christmas party was a great success because members invited their friends. Lets
continue the tradition!
SEE YOU AT BAYWOOD IN JANUARY! DOORS OPEN AT 11:15! PURCHASE YOUR OPPORTUNITY DRAWING
TICKETS AND CHECK OUT AND PURCHASE WHITE ELEPHANT ITEMS!
Looking forward to seeing you there.
Blessings,
Annette De Modena

AMERICANISM REPORT
Chris Wennerholm

An Explanation at last...

Once upon a time there was a king who wanted

to go fishing.
He called the royal weather forecaster and inquired as to the weather forecast for the next few hours.
The weatherman assured him that there was no chance of rain in the coming days.
So the king went fishing with his wife, the queen.
On the way he met a farmer on his donkey. Upon seeing the king the farmer said, "Your Majesty, you should
return to the palace at once because in just a short time I expect a huge amount of rain to fall in this area.
The king was polite and considerate, he replied: "I hold the palace meteorologist in high regard. He is an
extensively educated and experienced professional. Besides, I pay him very high wages. He gave me a very
different forecast. I trust him and I will continue on my way." So he continued on his way.
However, a short time later a torrential rain fell from the sky. The King and Queen were totally soaked.
Furious, the king returned to the palace and gave the order to fire the weatherman at once!
Then he summoned the farmer and offered him the prestigious and high paying role of royal forecaster.
The farmer said, "Your Majesty, I do not know anything about forecasting. I obtain my information from my
donkey. If I see my donkey's ears drooping, it means with certainty that it will rain."
So the king hired the donkey.
And so began the practice of hiring asses to work in the government, and occupy its highest and most
influential positions..... and which later became the symbol for the Democrat party.

another ones treasure, so bring them all to our January meetings White Elephant sale and accomplish two good

A Peacekeeping Soldier
Santa's words "Says it all".
'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE,
MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE.

COULDN'T HELP WONDER,

HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE,
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY,

WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO,
IN THIS HOME, DID LIVE.

THE VERY THOUGHT BROUGHT,

A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES,
AND STARTED TO CRY.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,

A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.

THE SOLDIER AWAKENED,

AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
"SANTA DON'T CRY,
THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;

NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES,
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,

I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS...

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,

AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT,
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,

AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT,
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,

IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.

I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,

SO SILENT AND STILL,
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED,
FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.

THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,

SILENT, ALONE,
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR,
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.

I DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE,

ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR,
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,

THE ROOM IN DISORDER,
NOT HOW I PICTURED,
A TRUE AMERICAN SOLDIER.

THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,

WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, "CARRY ON, SANTA,
IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE."

WAS THIS THE HERO,

OF WHOM I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO,
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?

ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH,

AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT."

I REALIZED THE FAMILIES,

THAT I SAW TONIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS,
WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

This poem was written by a Peacekeeping soldier

stationed overseas. The following is his request. I
think it is reasonable. PLEASE. Would you do me the
kind favor of sending this to as many people as you
can? Although Christmas is over, some credit
is due to all of the service men and women for our
being able to celebrate these festivities. Let's try in
this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make
people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead,
who sacrificed themselves for us. Please, do your
small part to plant this small seed.

SOON ROUND THE WORLD,

THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE,
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.
THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM,
EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

Grass Valley Biennial Convention Photos

Kris Tanto Paronto, one
of the Bengazi rescuers,
was on hand to autograph
his book, 13 Hours, and
for photo opportunities.

The entire convention culminated

in the visiting of Ambassador
Christopher Stevens grave.

ATTENTION!!!!!
Baywood has requested our reservation number in ten days before the event, so please check
your calendars now and make your reservation for one of the most knowledgable women on
Agenda 21and beyond than we've ever known. This month's luncheon, as usual, will not be at
the Elks Lodge. We will be meeting at Baywood Golf and Country Club. The cost is still $15.00
per person; and if you make a reservation and do not attend, we do request you send us a
check. Come on in a little early to drop off your White Elephant gifts for pricing and visit with
your friends and make new ones. Luncheon will begin promptly at 11:30 as Debbie
Baciagalupe has much to share. She has only recently returned from Paris where she attended
the Global Warming Conference.
Bring a friend or two or three...
See you there!
