Task 1:

This table illustrates the proportion of national expenditures in Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Turkey in
three different categories of items in 2002.
Overall, all countries spent most on food, drinks and tobacco, which was almost three times that of the
other items. The lowest expenditure was on leisure and education in the five countries. The expenditure
on Turkey overall was higher than the other countries.
In terms of food, drinks and tobacco, Turkey spent the most at 32.14%. The expenditure of Ireland was
also high (28.91%) compared to Sweden which spent the least (15.77%). Spain and Italy spent 18.80%
and 16.36% respectively.
Italy spent more than the other countries on clothing and footwear (9%) as opposed the lowest
expenditure which could be seen in Sweden at 5.40.5. The other three countries spent on average
around 6.5%.
The lowest expenditure was on leisure and education which accounted for under 5% in all countries.
Turkey spent most on these items at just 4.35% of their national expenditure which is around double
that of Spain who spent the least at just 1.98%.

Task 2:
Many artist or football players claim that their talents is of genetic origin. They did not have to learn
music or sport to become that talented. Having said that, a growing number of people believe that any
child can be the best on their job because they receive the right teaching and direction. In this essay I
will outline the both sides of the argument and give my opinion.
Claim that people were born with certain talents such as sport and art skill could be true because based
on the biology theory about genetics that tells about similar characteristic between parent and their
children. For instance, a father who has good skill in sport would have children with good skills in sport
as well. This argument also could be strengthened by environment condition of the children. Related to
the example above, children would have good ability in sport because they always see their father doing
sport so it is formed in their brain.
However, the other people believe that skills could be improved although people do not have that skills
since they were born. People are able to learn some skills because they have strong willingness to be
good in that skills. They could learn from books and practice it. Nowadays, some institutions are
established with purpose to train people in special skills. For example, playing guitar course and football
school.
To be concluded, everyone has special ability such as sport and art. This skill does not always exist since
people were born, but the major factor is the willingness to learn that skill.
