Ordering 2 layer ($33) or 4 layer ($66) PCBs from Advanced Circuits

Before attempting to order a PCB make sure your board design meets the following specifications:
Lead time 5 days

White legend (1 or 2 sides)

2-layers, FR-4, 0.062", 1 oz cu plate

1 part number per order (additional $50 lot charge for multiple
images or step & repeat)

Lead free solder finish


Min. 0.006" line/space

Max size 60 sq. inches


No slots (or overlapping drill hits)

Min. 0.015" hole size


No internal routing (cutouts)
All holes plated
No scoring, tab rout, or drilled hole board separations.
Green LPI mask
Does Not Include Blind/Buried Vias

Routed to overall dimensions


Maximum 35 drilled holes per sq. inch

Most importantly are the minimum 6mil trace size and spacing, minimum 15mil hole size, and maximum
square inch board size (2 layer = 60 sq in, 4 layer = 30 sq in).
Also, make sure you have all of the necessary Gerber files contained within a single ZIP file. For a list of
the required files see step 6.
1. Register with advanced circuits.

2. Once registered return to the main page and click on the special offers link.

3. On the special offers page, scroll down to the Student Discounts box and click the link that says
Click here.

4. If you are ordering a two layer board, click the click here to order link in number 2.
If you are ordering a four layer board, click the click here to order link in number 3.

5. Log in with the e-mail address you used to register in step 1.

6. Click on the choose file button to choose the ZIP file that contains your Gerber files, then press
upload now. All Gerber files must be in a single ZIP file. Gerber files MUST BE in the 274X
format and drill files must be Excellon format (NC Drill in Ultiboard).

7. After pressing upload, fill in Part #, Rev#, the X and Y dimensions of your PCB, whether you want
a solder mask on the top/ bottom/ or both sides, what sides of your board have silkscreening,
the number of layers your board has, and the quantity you wish to order. Select the No radio
button for the ITAR option always. Choose the shipping option you desire. UPS ground and
FedEx ground typically take 3 days and cost around 20-22 dollars.
Note: If you wish to do the Order 4 boards get one free deal, simply order a quantity of 4
and it will automatically add your extra free board when you check out.

8. You now need to tell Advanced Circuits what each of the files is contained within the ZIP file you
uploaded. Use the drop down menus next to each of the file names to indicate what that
particular file is.

9. Fill in all of the information in the payment section except the credit card number, expiration
date, and name on card. The rest of the information is provided below.

If you are ordering a SINGLE board at the student discount price of $33 or $66 YOU MUST put
Student in the comments box at the bottom of the page.

11. Have Emma enter in the credit card information and submit your order.
