Description

This 90-minute course will describe the integral role the physical
therapist plays in a multidisciplinary concussion management team. A
physical therapist experienced in concussion management will discuss
common symptoms that may indicate referral to a PT, tools available
to PTs, and typical PT treatment sessions. The course will include
current research and case examples and will conclude with 15 minutes
of Q&A.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

Identify important principles to vision therapy.

Recognize and utilize training techniques for vergence


disorders and oculomotor dysfunction.

Discuss common vision rehabilitation techniques.

Athletic Trainers

ImPACT Applications, Inc. is recognized by the Board of


Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic
Trainers. This program has been approved for a maximum 1.25
hours of Category A continuing education. Certified Athletic
Trainers are responsible for claiming only those hours actually
spent participating in the continuing education activity.

Physical Therapists

At this time ImPACT is not able to offer pre-approved continuing


education credits to physical therapists for this course. You will
receive a certificate of attendance for each of our courses with
contact hours listed. Review your state laws to determine if this
training can be applied toward continuing education without
pre-approval.

Physicians

At this time, ImPACT is not able to offer AMA PRA Category 1


Credits. You will receive a certificate of attendance for each of our
courses with contact hours listed. Review your local, state, and

credits to occupational therapists, psychologists, registered

Dr. Audrey Paslow holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Sage Graduate
School, Troy, NY. She is an honors graduate of Russell Sage College, Troy, NY,
where she graduated with a BA in Biology. She was a Broughton Graduate
Fellows recipient, and has published and presented with her research group
at both the NYPTA Conference and the APTA Combined Sections Meeting.
Audrey currently serves as the Chair of the Eastern District of the New York
Physical Therapy Association. She is certified in Balance & Vestibular
Rehabilitation through the American Balance Institute in Florida. She practices
primarily in a hospital-based outpatient setting and is the lead physical
therapist of a multi-disciplinary concussion management team at Ellis
Medicine in Schenectady, NY. She is currently pursuing her Certified Brain
Injury Specialist certification through the Brain Injury Association. Her
passions include community education and engagement as well as
collaborating on a community model for concussion management.
