PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
As I write this ahead of our February meeting, the news is full of the approaching winter storm. Hopefully
no one will be too inconvenienced by this. So it seems a good time to say again that if Anne Arundel
County schools are closed or cancel their evening activities due to inclement weather, then we will NOT
have our meeting. Usually such closings or cancellations are announced on the evening news but the status
is also listed at the top of the schools web page www.aacps.org.
At the end of December we were contacted by Pat Warner who had several boxes of ostomy supplies that
were left after her daughter Emma passed away in October at the age of 26. Pat kindly donated these
supplies which we have shipped to FOW for their further distribution. We appreciate her thinking of
others at this terribly difficult time.
We are including the registration form for the upcoming 2016 Mid-Atlantic Regional Ostomy Conference
which is being held by Dulles Airport. With a conference like this being held so close, I would encourage
you to consider registering. Although the internet gives us far more information than used to be available,
connecting with others in person is of especial value.
Paul
Dont forget that we are ultimately judged by what we give, not by what we get.
WORD OF THANKS for their constant support of our
Chapter to: Anne Arundel Medical Center for providing
rooms for our regular meetings and special events. We
appreciate their support and assistance.
