Our World in Future

Owing to the increase globalization and technological advancements, there are many reasons
for people to consider that the world will be more and more exciting, comfortable, interesting in
the future. But in my own opinion, the future will be more frightening than being exciting because
of the following reasons:

Firstly, owing to developing technology, economy, and the increasing of population, human race
will need more natural resource and certainly, we will have to speed up the exploitative actions.
As a result, natural resources will come into exhaustion. Everything has its limit and so is the
case with the environmental resources. In the future, I think the next generation will find it harder
to live and exist. Besides the above consequence, the effect of the uncontrolled exploitation will
be the reason of the Act of God as flood, mudslide, flood slide etc., which will cause many
disasters for the life of people all over the world. For example, the uncontrolled exploitation to
the watershed in the North-West areas of Vietnam has caused many the flood slide, mudslide
and many people killed by these disasters.

Secondly, the development of economy, industrialization and modernization in the developing

countries will form more and more urban zone, new cities, manufacturing and industrial zones.
Besides improving the living standard for many people, such urbanization and modernization will
also lead the world to the hardship such as house-glass effect, environmental pollution, water
pollution, the global warming etc,. These phenomena are impacting the world gradually even
today but since the process is very gradual, we cannot feel or face the drastic consequences
overnight. The world has not had the specific solutions to solve them absolutely so far.
Obviously, the above heritages that we leave over will be too heavy for our generation in the
future to face.

Thirdly, the conflict of the civilization has become serious, especially the conflict between the
Western and the Islam. The terrorist attacks which the extreme Islam forces made on the
tourism island Bali in Indonesia, the Trade World Center in New York America, for example,
were the typical evidences for this conflict. This and such instances in further future will not only
divide the world into opposite systems but also make the life of people in the countries unstable.

May be I am a nostalgic person; so it sounds that I love the World in the past than the World in
the future. In my eyes, the future is more frightening than it is exciting. Every time I return from
my homeland and stretch my vision out on the fields and landscape, I have just one dream
arising in my mind: The world, please do not change.
