Kerouac, Jack. On the Road: The Original Scroll. London: Penguin, 2011. Print. Jack Kerouac
took 4 road trips during the late 50's. His first-hand accounts were recorded, unedited, on eight
pages of tracing paper, taped together to form the original scroll. These accounts were important
to my site as a primary source on the history of the era and events of the trips as told by Kerouac
himself.

Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarty as they go on several road trips edited from an original
autobiographical story of his own life. This book was vital to my site as a first-hand used for
quotes.
Kerouac, Jack. Readings by Jack Kerouac on the Beat Generation. Verve, 1997. MP3. "San
Francisco Scene (The Beat Generation)" is a spoken word reading, written and told, by Jack
Kerouac telling his views of the Beat Generation. This audio recording was linked to the website.
