Rowing Through Colors
Our bodies of water are a source of National Pride. Not only do they sustain life,
they are also objects of serene and wondrous beauty. From majestic beaches to
stunning waterfalls, from fast-flowing rivers to calm and pensive lakes, truly and

proudly they are Tatak Pinoy, and it is our obligation as Filipinos to take good care of
them for our future generations.

Filipinos: The Water People
With 7107 islands, within them countless lakes, rivers and streams, we are
surrounded by water. We are defined by it. Our numerous colorful festivals celebrate
both bountiful harvest and life-giving water, and our traditional culture emphasizes
strong respect for bodies of water and its inhabitants. Philippine life celebrating
water is truly Tatak Pinoy, and it is our obligation as Filipinos to take good care of
our bodies of water for the generations to come.
