May 8. Rehearsals are held each evening beginning at 7 p.m. (Continue
on back if necessary.) Please note, rehearsals for Interior Panic will begin
one week prior the start of classes (approx. Jan. 11th) which will require
those cast to return a week early.

I understand that I will be considered for all roles in all productions, and that if I am cast I will attend all
required rehearsals, meetings and performances. Actors are required to provide proper rehearsal shoes,
rehearsal clothes, and stage makeup. If cast, I understand that I may be asked to cut or dye my hair.

QUALIFICATIONS TO AUDITION
ALL TTU students may audition, regardless of major, if registered for at least 6 hours undergrad or 3
hours graduate. TTU faculty and staff may also audition.
PRIOR TO AUDITION
Make sure to: Sign up for a time slot on the Callboard in the Maedgen Theatre Building.
Read the shows for the upcoming season. Prepare a monologue: either modern dramatic or modern
comic. You will have two (2) minutes maximum to give your memorized monologue and 16 bars of
music (preferably a selection from a similar musicalplease do not prepare a song from Cabaret).
Bring sheet music (musicnotes.com is a good resource). If not singing, prepare a second contrasting
monologue (also 1 minute in length). An accompanist will be provided. Please, no a cappella
auditions. No taped accompaniment please.
Be sure to time your material prior to the audition as you will have a total of two minutes.
Dress comfortably and/or appropriately for the role.
Pick up an audition form. Fill out audition form LEGIBLY with black ballpoint pen or typewritten.
Make ten (10) copies of both the form and your rsum-- and a headshot, if you have one.
Bring them with you to the auditions. YOU MUST MAKE YOUR OWN COPIES. COPIES WILL NOT
BE MADE FOR YOU ON THE NIGHT OF AUDITIONS!
THE AUDITION
Prepare a Slate: Your Name / Your Audition Number / Your Selections. Your audition time will
begin after you slate.
IN ORDER TO AUDITION, you must have all the paperwork completed. You will not be given an
audition number until the paperwork is completed.
If you have not finished within two minutes, you will receive a polite Thank You. Stop, say Thank
you and leave the stage immediately.
CALL BACKS Make sure to check the Call Back lists! (Posted the morning after auditions)

*Any student on academic probation may choose not to participate in departmental production activities for the initial long semester
he/she is on probation regardless of program and/or scholarship requirements. This, however, will not excuse them from lab
requirements that are part of an academic course. If the student remains on academic probation for a second consecutive long
semester, then he/she will not be allowed to participate in any departmental production activities until the student achieves a good
