Intercede for the Muslim World!

You are the light of the world. let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to
your Father who is in heaven (Mt 5:14a, 16, ESV).

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students, Alumni, and Missionaries

COTE D'IVOIRE: The Assemblies of God of Cte d'Ivoire has committed to planting 1,000 churches over the next 5
years, many if not most in the more Islamized north of the country. More than 170 pastors expressed their desire to go
to unreached people groups (UPGs), and the church is forming a new department for ministry to UPGs. Please pray
that the Lord would bless these efforts, open unprecedented doors, and miraculously empower and provide for each
pastor and new church, for the salvation of many!
NIGERIA: Continue to pray for the Assemblies of God pastors and churches in the north, where terrorists attacks are
a constant concern. According to an alumnae, pastors are vigilant and cautious but determined to continue, and many
believers are very bold. Pray especially for unity in the churches there, that they would concern themselves less with
internal politics and more with the real battle of rescuing souls from the Enemy.

In the News
Togo's government recently signed agreements for funds with the Islamic Development Bank in Saudi Arabia. Funds
will be used to improve access to education for primary and middle school-aged children, to train teachers, to electrify
villages in the north, and to improve the north-south highway. Great needs, but there are always long strings attached
as Islam seeks to establish itself more firmly. Please pray for the pastors and churches of Togo, that they may more
fervently reach out to Muslims and to those who face temptation to accept Islam for economic advantage.

World Watch List: Eritrea

A small nation on the Horn of Africa, Eritrea ranks #3 on the World Watch List. While the number of Christians nearly
equals the number of Muslims, they are severely persecuted. Fewer than 2% are evangelical believers. Pray for those
who are leading small church groups, largely in secret, that they might wisely disciple those who are boldly following
Jesus. One Eritrean pastor says, "We continue this spiritual war by praying fervently and regularly. And we have seen
its effects. Let's join with them! For more on Eritrea, see http://www.opendoorsuk.org/persecution/worldwatch/

From Global Initiative*

Intercede for believers in Somalia wracked by oppression from Al-Shabaab, a radical Islamist group. Christians in
Somalia are estimated to number less than 1,000, and anyone who leaves Islam risks a swift death. Some have found
refuge in neighboring Kenya, but Al-Shabaab has attacked many Christians and churches there as well. Pray that the
Spirit would encourage our brothers and sisters, and provide them with opportunities to study His Word and for
fellowship. Somali ranks 7th on the World Watch List of countries most antagonistic to Christians. For more
information and prayer points, see http://bit.ly/1PBeKSG.

For Muslim Women**

Pray that the Lord would pair immigrant Muslim women who seek employment with employers who can lead them to
Jesus.
