Insurance
Insurance is not covered by the Erasmus+ project; each applicant is
responsible for organization of travel health insurance valid for the
Czech Republic.
Applicants for a Czech long-term visa have to adhere to specific criteria
concerning the travel health insurance which is one of the visa requirements
(see
http://www.mzv.cz/jnp/en/information_for_aliens/general_visa_information/tra
vel_medical_insurance.html). Travel medical insurance must cover the cost of
emergency medical care, including medical evacuation or, in the event of
death, repatriation of remains to the country that has issued the applicants

travel document or to the applicants country of residence. The insurance

policy must not exclude coverage for injuries and damage caused by the
applicants intentional acts, injuries and damage caused by fault or
contributory fault on the part of the applicant, and injuries and damage
caused by the consumption of alcohol, narcotic and psychotropic substances
by the applicant. The minimum coverage is EUR 60 000 per one insured
event without any coinsurance or co-payment. Travel medical insurance may
be purchased from:

An insurance company licensed to sell such insurance in the Czech

Republic (see below).

An insurance company licensed to sell such insurance in any other

Member State of the European Union, etc. (It is necessary to get all
documents translated into Czech see details below).

An insurance company licensed to sell such insurance in the country

that has issued the applicants travel document or in the applicants country
of residence. (It is necessary to get all documents translated into Czech see
details below).

Translations into Czech: The proof of travel medical insurance must be

accompanied by a certified Czech translation of the insurance policy and
general insurance terms and conditions, proving the existence of travel
medical insurance, the scope of coverage, the amount of coverage (at least
EUR 60 000), and proving that there is no coinsurance or co-payment. The
applicant may be requested to present proof of insurance covering the entire
period of stay in the Czech Republic.
Before you apply for the travel medical insurance with the insurance
company please get in touch with the Czech Embassy or Czech Consulate
General in your country to find out more about the visa application policy and
their medical insurance requirements for issuing a visa.

Visa application
All selected grantees are responsible for visa application. Masaryk University
sends to each grantee supporting visa documents; in addition to the
documents applicants are usually asked to submit, they should also submit a
Criminal record and in some countries also a Health check. All documents
have to be translated into Czech. All selected candidates are informed about
these requirements.
