In candid conversation with Ishan ji

October 18, 2015 at 3:22pm

An interesting interview of a Saint

Son

'WHEN I EXPLORE THE GLOBE, I SEE THAT THE WORLD HAS BECOME MORE INDIAN
THAN INDIA. IT IS US WHO NEED TO HOLD ON TO OUR ROOTS AND STOP BLINDLY
CHASING CARNAL PURSUITS'Namah shivay! Ishan Shivanand ji has been on tour across various
countries, cities and towns, for the last six months. Here's sharing excerpts of a personal interaction he held a
day prior to leaving for Himalayas which is one of the most perilous expeditions in the world with extremely
adverse weather conditions involving a 100km of trekking and an equally scary prospect of having to face a
crater full of difficult situations, one of the greatest mythological mysteries. Here are his quips from a

freewheeling chat we had with him before he left for a challenging exploration.INTERVIEWERIt has been a
question on many lips Ishan ji. Why so much grace abroad? America is turning luckier next year.ISHAN JIFirst
we need to understand what being worthy is. Who is Indian and who is American? The world has become an
open society. You are free to embrace any culture, spiritual and religious leanings. This liberal atmosphere has
led us to leave our roots and hold on to the materialistic sparkle of the West.

It is the biggest irony that the people whom we term pejoratively as 'foreigners' have become more of Indians
by practicing and depositing their faith in what is truly Indian - values of acceptance, forgiveness, unconditional
love and gratitude. they have become so much more open to receiving the energy. They are not stuck with their
prejudices. All this has happened even as we are busy blaming the governments for corruption, pointing fingers
to others and willfully enjoying the blame game. We have stopped taking pride in what we have and rather take
greater interest in all that is supposedly wrong with us.We have lost answerability and are stuck with the
diseases and suffering so much that even as an Enlightened Guru would grace us, all that we would desire is
some worldly pleasure. Moreover we have become slaves to marketing. What is ours is being sold to us. As a
glaring example, we are buying a natural resource - water at such exorbitant rates. Its plainly silly. What if
water was left to be in rivers? So many bottles in every shop as of today. Imagine all that water irrigating the
fields of the farmers. But who cares amongst us?And i bet the day is not far when we will be customers of
special air or oxygen cylinders. Come Diwali and we will have firecrackers wreaking havoc with the
ecosystem. INTERVIEWERThat's indeed true Acharya.ISHAN JII was in Austria recently. Sadhaks there are so
receptive. They are willing to take responsibility for their actions. You won't see anyone engaged in deep
conversations over the problems affecting their nation. Rather they mull over how they can bring a change.

They are willing to take ownership of rights and wrongs. This makes them worthy.

Sadhaks in Austria don't carry motives. They have no pretensions. They just start singing and dancing. And
since there is no impure intention, each one celebrates the success of the other. No one is looking to impress the
Guru. They are all in their rhythm. They are not driven by oneupmanship but are taking vicarious pleasure in
the triumph of others, whom they see as their own. We have a lot to learn from them in terms of forbearance.
In America, sadhaks are willing to see the science when here everything is being termed as religion. Let me tell
you a lot of research is being done in USA on things as deep as the affect of DSS on brain function. Who
wouldn't want to be at a place where there is so much encouragement and endorsement to cosmic energy. They
key is acceptance.

Here, we refuse to see beyond our knee pains and deteriorating health. There is a mad scramble to outdo the
other, malice i would say. Even a smile is seen with so much suspicion. How on Earth will this create a
congenial atmosphere for Holy Masters to sustain their presence?

India is not about geographical

boundaries. Every person who has Indianness is equally an Indian. Tolerance, compassion, acceptance,
forgiveness, answerability, gratitude is what is being Indian. Time is up when holding nationality qualified one
to be worshipped. It is time for us to truly become Indians. Only then the Masters will descend and bring more
peace to us.We need to inculcate all forms of discipline in us - physical (not jumping on to the Guru), emotional
(respect and compassion even for the Guru), mental (correct thought process when interfacing with the Guru)
and spiritual (what to seek).INTERVIEWERWhat are your.......................ISHAN JI(Interrupting the
pause)......................Did I tell you that the German translation of Durga Saptashati Beej Mantratmak Sadhna is
ready. Please share with all on facebook. Oh and yes DSS has also ready in Gujarati, Telugu and Bengali. Soon

we'll have it available everywhere.

INTERVIEWERThat is indeed
a very profound thing to have known Ishan ji. We hear that Bali shivir has received too many applications and
the venue will be changed.ISHAN JIAh no. They have an expandable space capacity. it is going to be
fantastic.INTERVIEWERYou seem so full of energy. Yet no shivirs round the corner. What are your plans now?
ISHAN JIHaha. Is it? Hmmm. May be I am working on four grand comics on four divine issues, that has made
me so full of energy. Comic on Baba ji's inspiring story too is almost ready. Oh and tonight I am off to
RoopKund. It is one of the toughest and most fatal journeys one can undertake. I am packing 10 power banks. It

will be one good challenge.

INTERVIEWERIshan ji, the recent Shiv Yog Kisan Shivir in Rajasthan has turned out to be the most successful
one ever, with 25000 attendance of farmers alone and Baba ji talking highly of the receptivity of the farmers
there.ISHAN JIWell, it doesn't surprise me one little bit because Rajasthan is very special for Baba ji. He has
performed so much tapa here. He knows this place inside out. A lot more is in stuff i guess. You would know

better.
INTERVIEWERYour
assessment is entirely true Ishan ji. Talks are underway to give at least 3 more free of cost Shiv Yog Agriculture
shivirs to Rajasthan. The farmers are reporting tremendous improvement in their life. Astonishing results have
come out.ISHAN JIWell, Baba ji is Baba ji. miracles just follow him. One remains in his awe. You are lucky
you're always around to witness. perhaps even more than me.

INTERVIEWERThat is your modesty Ishan ji. If it may be asked what are Baba ji's plans? He's signalled his
intent to undertake less and less shivirs from this year. What is in store?ISHAN JIBaba ji has been prolific,
untiring and very very focused. Over the course of the last year he has been shuttling from one country to the
other because he wants to maximize the number of people possessing the energy empowerment which can help
humanity ascend. But there has to be a purpose, a cap on the duration for which he will be required to run
across continents in his endeavour to enlighten as many lives as possible.

Shiv Yog International Forums and now Shiv Yog Virtual shivirs will be platforms from where Baba ji will
impart the wisdom that he always has wanted to impart. The energy expended in travel and other allied
activities will all be channelized towards giving more energy in sadhna. I'm glad that sitting in ashram,
recording shivir modules, he will reach out to more people than by tiring himself otherwise. A plus point is that
this way more people would benefit with saner utilization of resources. Virtual shivirs will start soon. Next year
in fact it is going to be all about Shiv Yog Virtual shivirs, starting with Siddha Dhyan. i think the back end
infrastructure is already in the process of being readied. So that is good news for us all.
