Task Overview
The syllabus requires that students in the Preliminary Business
Studies course are required to prepare a business report based on
Windsor Limited.
The task carries a weighting of 25%
You will be required to examine the Windsor story and familiarise
yourself with their background. Following this, you will be required to
write a response in a business report format to the questions below.

Business Report Question


You have been hired as a consultant and are required to write a
report to the management of Windsor Ltd. In your report you need to
address the following:
Executive summary - include an outline of the nature of the
business, their size, legal structure and industry sector.
(approx. 100 words)
Provide an outline of competitors in the Australian
confectionery industry (approx. 150 words)
Describe the challenges for Windsor in their current stage of
the business life cycle. (approx. 200 words)
Explain the impact of economic, legal and one other external
influence (other than competitive) on Windsor now or in the
year ahead. (approx. 450 words)
Given your understanding of the external influences you have
explained above, predict the possible future impact on TWO
internal influences for Windsor. (approx. 300 words)
Presentation of the task

The task is in report style this means you use headings,


tables and diagrams if appropriate.
The report is to be typed: Font size 12, Cambria, 1.5 line
spacing
The absolute word limit is 1200 words.
The word count must be stated on your cover page. As well as
handing the report in, it must be submitted on CANVAS.
This is an individual task. Plagiarism is a serious academic
offence. The report must be your own work. Should any
plagiarism at any level be detected, all students involved will
receive a mark of zero and be issued an official academic
warning.
