Multi sector Nutrition Capacity Building Initiative
I. Senior Consultant, capacity building:

one

NIRD&PR wishes to recruit one Senior Consultant, Capacity Building to work in a project on
Multi sector Nutrition Capacity Building Initiative supported by an International Agency. The
post is purely contractual and are project based.
Objective:
To support develop, testing, evaluation and institutionalizing a Multi-Modular Kit in Select
sector for Nutrition Capacity building among the officials through NIRD&PR, for state, district
and block officials of Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and six allied
departments as well as Panchayati Raj Institutions and women/community leaders.
Major Task to be accomplished:
Desk review of domain experts/organizations working on multi-sectoral integrated (foodnutrition-WASH-health) capacity building in south Asia and India.
Desk review of curriculum and content developed for allied departments by
experts/organizations and interview with stakeholders to gain information and materials.
Designing a need assessment of on requirement and gaps for a multi- sectoral integrated (foodnutrition-WASH-health) capacity building co-ordinated and completed with four SIRDs.
Development, testing, evaluation of multi- modular kits.
Essential Qualifications:
Masters in Public Health or Community Nutrition/Public Health Nutrition/ Home Science
with doctorate degree from reputed institute/university .
At least Ten years of progressive work experience in development of training module
independently, organizing training, monitoring and evaluation of development project in the
area of nutrition allied sectors.
Evidence of independent Publication in referred Journal in the relevant area.

Desirable
Experience of working in UN Agency in a managerial position.
Evidence of publication and experience showing analytical skills and use of statistical
packages.
High level of proficiency in using MS-Office including Microsoft Excel.
Language Requirements: Fluency both in English and Hindi is required.
Age: Preferably below 45 years;
Compensation: Remuneration will be Rs. 50,000/- to.90,000/-approximately per month
depending on the qualification and experience of the candidate in the relevant field.
Initially the offer of engagement will be for six months. However, it will be extendable
depending on the performance review.

II.

Project Assistant Finance : one

Essential Qualifications:
B.Com with First Division;
Minimum Five years of Experience in relevant area in reputed institute
/organization in maintenance of accounts including data entry of expenditure
statements (double entry system).
Desirable:
Preference will be given to M.Com with First division, M.B.A (Finance) from
reputed institute.
Due preference will be given to person who has experience of working with
projects in national and international agencies.
Proficiency in Typing English.
Skill Required:
General management of accounts;
Debit and credit entry;
Preparation of financial record and budget;
File management ;
Proficiency in English and Hindi Required.

Compensation: Remuneration will be Rs. 22,000/-. Initially the offer of engagement will
be for six months. However, it will be extendable depending on the performance review.

III.

Project Assistant ( Compute r) one

Essential Qualifications:
BCA with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application in First Division
or MCA with first division from recognized Institute / university.
Minimum Five years of Experience in reputed institute /organization in
maintenance of record, analysis of research result.
Desirable:
Due preference will be given to person who has experience of working with
projects in national and international agencies.
Skill Required:
Computer application in MS Office
Generation of tables
Proficiency in English and Hindi Required.

Compensation: Remuneration will be Rs. 22,000/-. Initially the offer of engagement will
be for six months. However, it will be extendable depending on the performance review.

IV.

Personal Assistant (Multi-Task Staff)

Essential Qualifications:
Intermediate pass (12 std pass) .
Typing skill in English
Work experience of two years.
Desirable:
Preference will be given to graduate
Experience of working under projects in national agencies.
Knowledge of Hindi and English

Compensation: Remuneration will be consolidated Rs. 10,000/-. Initially the offer of

engagement will be for six months. However, it will be extendable depending on the
performance review.

Location:
The position would be based at Hyderabad in the Centre for Women Development and Gender
Studies National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
