PFSO Is in Charge of the PFSP


The Port Facility Is a location, as
designated by the D.A or C.G, where ship/
port interface takes place.
ie- Anchorage, waiting berth & etc.

PICs ports facilities have been audited by


SPCs EDD (once called the Maritime
Programme ) to ensure Flag States comply
with the Convention that they have signed up
to

All PICs have already completed the first


round of audits. Some of the PICs port
facilities are now going into the second and
third round of audits
The auditing process has been instrumental
in improving port security in the PICs.
The audits have highlighted systems to be
improved to comply with the ISPS Code
requirements

Some PICs Port Facilities have


not been able to implement
appropriate corrective actions to
address the SINs issued in the
follow-up audit.
If the SINs are not corrected
prior to the follow up audit, a
initial audit will be conducted
again, to start the audit process
on the port facility

1. Tourist Vessels visiting


 Port infrastructure to meet demand
 Collaborating with other agencies, eg; tour
organizers, health, police and etc.
2. Regional vessels(500GT) visiting regional port facilities
3. Fishing vessel issues in ports and in high seas
4. Port facilities can temporarily go to ISPS operation when a
SOLAS vessel visits.
