11. FLAWLESS JOB MANAGEMENT
Once a contract is signed, Mabani Steels
Customer Service Department (CSD) assigns
it a job no., enters it in the Orders Register and
manages it until all the buildings/structures

schedules the processing of approval drawings,
erection drawings, production and final dispatch.

14. QUICK DISPATCH OF ANCHOR BOLTS
Immediately after receiving technical approval for

anchor bolts and pack them for immediate

15. FAST SUBMITTAL OF A.B. DRAWINGS

We understand the urgency for final Column
Reactions and Anchor Bolts Drawings. For
buildings with only minor changes in the
returned approval drawings, we submit Anchor
Bolt Drawings within 1-2 weeks of receiving our
marked approval drawings at our Head Office.
16. MOST CODE COMPLIANT WELDING
The single most important production task in
steel fabrication is welding. We comply fully
with AWS Code (American Welding Society)
welding standards, a rarity in our Target Market.
We qualify all inhouse welds for the following 3
variables: Joint Type, Welding Consumables and
Base Metal Specification. Any time a significant
deviation in any of these 3 variables occurs, we requalify the welds in line with the requirements of
American Welding Society D1. All our welders are
AWS tested, qualified and certified.

17. QUICK RELEASE OF JOBS

No job is released for production or shipment
without the formal approval of the Finance
Department. Mabani Steel Finance Department
works closely with Customers to ensure that letters
of credit are opened correctly to avoid amendments
that may delay the dispatch of urgently needed
materials.

POST SHIPMENT STRENGTHS

18. COMPLETE PHASED SHIPMENTS
For large jobs Mabani Steel details, fabricates and
ships the Steel Structure in phases of approximately
150 metric tons (8-10 trailers) to help the erector
better manage material delivery & storage at site.
Each phased shipment is accurate & complete.
It includes all columns, rafters, bracing, purlins,
girts, bolts, etc. and is fully erectable. Subsequent
phases are shipped in one week intervals or as
directed by the Customer. Mabani Steel pre-packs
and stores all the components of a Steel Structure
phase in our factory in a manner that enables
loading on trailers within 24 hours of release for
shipment. When Panels & Panel Accessories are
included in our scope they are shipped as directed
by the Customer.
19. QUALITY ERECTION BY MABANI STEEL
Within the UAE Mabani Steel offers full erection
services using its own Erection Management Team.
We execute erection by subcontracting to experienced
Erectors under close monitoring by our area resident
Erection Specialists. Our erection quality surpasses the
quality of most other PEB Erectors. The department
adheres to the safety requirements of UAEs Jebal
Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA), the most stringent
organization in our Target Market when it comes to
erection safety.

of design, supply and install.
Having the supply and erection under a single
responsibility greatly reduces potential conflicts
between Supplier & Customer, Customer &
Erector and Supplier & Erector. It considerably
shortens the erection period because of the rapid

delays that were due to the actions/in-actions of other

20. SUPPORT FOR ERECTION BY OTHERS
Mabani Steel employs an Erection Specialist in
each of its Sales Offices. His role is to provide
erection support throughout the erection period
of a job making sure that buildings are properly
erected. Customers who are unfamiliar with Steel
Structure should contact our erection specialist
for advice at the technical approval stage. The
Erection Specialist provides valuable advice to
erectors on the type of equipment and tools to
use, the proper sequence of erection and the no.
of erectors required for specific erection tasks.

21. QUICK RESOLUTION OF SITE CLAIMS

All suppliers experience situations whereby some
components may have been damaged during
transport, some may be quality non-conforming
and some may be short shipped. Mabani Steels
Rapid Response Claims System, is designed to
quickly resolve such problems. Mabani Steels area
resident Erection Specialist assists the Erector in
raising claims for damaged materials (if any), short
shipped materials (if any) or to rectify quality non
conforming components (if any). to make sure
that the integrity of all structure components
is preserved and that the contractual erection
schedule is maintained. If a site dispute arises our
first goal is to ensure that the erection activity is
not interrupted.

SUPERIOR PRODUCT FEATURES

22. ROBUST ENDWALL CONSTRUCTION
Every Pre-Engineered Steel Building (PEB) has
2 endwall frames. An endwall frame may be the
same as an interior (rigid main frame) or may
be a Bearing (light) frame. Most manufacturers
use light gauge cold formed members for the
construction of Bearing frames. Mabani Steel uses
built-up or hot rolled members in the construction
of all endwall frames. This provides a more robust
endwall and considerably reduces the number of
components that need to be installed.
23. GALVANIZED SECONDARY MEMBERS
Some manufacturers still supply alkyd primed (red
oxide or gray oxide) secondary members. Mabani
Steel produces all secondary (Z & C Sections)
members from pre-galvanized G-90 high strength
steel. Galvanized secondary members include roof
purlins, wall girts, base angles, gable angles, framed
opening channels and sliding door members.
24. 100% BLASTING OF PRIMARY MEMBERS
Most manufacturers clean primary (built-up &
hot rolled) structural members using mechanical
brushing or solvent cleaning. Mabani Steel shot
blasts all primary structural components. Mabani
Steels minimum blasting standard is Swedish Sa2.
If specified, Sa 2.5 can easily be achieved in our
two sophisticated blasting machines. Our one of
a kind shot blaster is designed to clean even the
most difficult-to-reach areas of complex structural
members.

25. ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY PAINT SYSTEM
Most manufacturers use manual or semi automated
paint systems to apply paint; an approach that
produces uneven Dry film Thicknesses (DFT).
Excessive application of paint entraps solvents
prolonging curing times which may lead to paint
cracking. Under-application of paint results in
less protection. Mabani Steels state of the art
automated paint equipment uniquely includes a
preheat for the steel members prior to the paint
application, a flash-off chamber to optimize VOC
(Volatile organic compounds) migration prior to
curing, and a temperature controlled heated curing
tunnel with conveyor speed that is specific to both
the paint type and application paint thickness. The
result is hard, durable and evenly applied coatings.
26. HIGH QUALITY PRIMER PAINT

Blasting Machine

Mabani Steels Standard coating is a 50 microns

Epoxy Primer in Red or Grey Colors only. It is
considerably more durable than the Alkyd primer
used by other Steel Fabricators.

27. AZ COATED STEEL PANELS

When steel panels are specified, Mabani Steel
uses only AZ (Aluminium Zinc) Coated Steel
Panels that are 4 times more resistant to rust than
G-90 galvanized Panels. Panels are stocked in two
thicknesses: 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm in both Mill
finish and Polyester Painted finishes.
28. ALUMINUM PANELS
Aluminum panels have superior resistance to
corrosion and we strongly recommend them for
humid climates and in coastal areas. Panels are
available in 0.7mm thick polyester painted finishes.
29. POPULAR PANEL COLORS
The raw materials coils for 0.5 mm & 0.7mm thick
AZ Coated steel and 0.7mm thick Aluminium
panels are available in all of Mabani Steels 4
standard Colors. Special Colors are a more
expensive option that must be specified at time of
quotation.

31. LARGE AESTHETIC DOWNSPOUTS

Most manufacturers press brake a 406 mm wide
pre-painted metal sheet to produce a 75 mm x
125 mm downspout with a poorly locked flat
profile. They space downspouts 12m to 15m
apart. Mabani Steel rollforms 525 mm wide prepainted metal coils to produce a 125 mm x
150 mm downspout with an architecturally
aesthetic profile; and locates downspouts at each
exterior column (6m 10m apart). Mabani Steel
understands that when it rains, it pours; and that
sizing downspouts for average rainfall intensity
often results in overflows that cause leakages along
the interior of building eaves, during heavy rain
falls. Our gutters and downspouts are designed for
worst case conditions.

30. INTERIOR PAINTED EAVE GUTTERS

Most Manufacturers press brake their metal eave
gutters from 390 mm wide pre-painted sheets and
do not paint their interior making them susceptible
to rust within 1-3 years. Mabani Steel rollforms
metal eave gutters from 605 mm wide pre-painted
coils and shop applies an epoxy coating to the
interior to prolong their functional life.

32. INTERIOR PAINTED VALLEY GUTTERS

Most Manufacturers produce valley gutters from
0.7 m thick Pre-Galvanized G-90 sheets and do not
paint their interior surfaces. Mabani Steel uses 0.9
mm thick pre-galvanized G-90 sheets and coats the
interior with 100 microns of epoxy paint to give
them added protection against rust. Optional PVC
outlets, PVC downpipes and holding brackets at
every interior column are available upon request.

33. SUPERIOR BOLTS & FASTENERS

Ultimately, the integrity of any Steel Structure is achieved by
competent erectors using the proper, code-compliant bolts. The
bolts required for a Steel Building include Anchor Bolts, Primary
Connection Bolts and Secondary Connection Bolts.
ANCHOR BOLTS
Mabani Steel anchor bolts are hot dip galvanized anchor bolts in
DIN 4.6 Steel (High strength Din 8.8 Steel are an option). Anchor
bolts are straight shank type with a welded round plate at the bottom.
L shaped anchor bolts are optional. Anchor bolts are stocked in
4 sizes (mm): 20 x450, 24 x 500, 30 x 650 and 36 x 950.
PRIMARY CONNECTION BOLTS
Almost all manufacturers in this region design their
connections on the basis of full A325 bolt connection
values but often supply DIN 8.8 steel bolts that have 20%
lower connection values than A325 bolts. Mabani Steel uses
only fully threaded hot dip galvanized A325 connection
bolts, nuts & washers exclusively for all primary structural
connections. Bolts are stocked in the following 5 sizes (mm):
16 x 65, 20 x 80, 24 x 100, 30 x 120 and 36 x 140.
SECONDARY CONNECTION BOLTS
Most manufacturers use electro plated mild steel (36 KSI)machine
bolts for connections of secondary cold formed members to
primary (built-up or hot rolled) members or to other secondary
members. Mabani Steel uses 12 x 35 electro galvanized high
strength (DIN 8.8 steel) exclusively for this application.
PANEL AND FLASHING FASTENERS
Mabani Steel uses only self drilling screws for connecting panels
(single skin or sandwich) to secondary members. Unlike self
tapping fasteners that require 2 operations (drilling a hole, then
fastening a screw), self drilling screws more efficiently accomplish
both tasks in one operation, avoiding oversized holes & enabling
a tighter fit between the panels and the secondary members.

members. Grommets require a hole to be pre-drilled but provide

Most Manufacturers are reluctant to supply only
Steel Structures, i.e., without including the Panels

Customer Service Department (CSD) assigns
it a job no., enters it in the Orders Register and
manages it until all the buildings/structures

15. FAST SUBMITTAL OF A.B. DRAWINGS

We understand the urgency for final Column
Reactions and Anchor Bolts Drawings. For
buildings with only minor changes in the
returned approval drawings, we submit Anchor
Bolt Drawings within 1-2 weeks of receiving our
marked approval drawings at our Head Office.
16. MOST CODE COMPLIANT WELDING
The single most important production task in
steel fabrication is welding. We comply fully
with AWS Code (American Welding Society)
welding standards, a rarity in our Target Market.
We qualify all inhouse welds for the following 3
variables: Joint Type, Welding Consumables and
Base Metal Specification. Any time a significant
deviation in any of these 3 variables occurs, we requalify the welds in line with the requirements of
American Welding Society D1. All our welders are
AWS tested, qualified and certified.

17. QUICK RELEASE OF JOBS

No job is released for production or shipment
without the formal approval of the Finance
Department. Mabani Steel Finance Department
works closely with Customers to ensure that letters
of credit are opened correctly to avoid amendments
that may delay the dispatch of urgently needed
materials.

POST SHIPMENT STRENGTHS

18. COMPLETE PHASED SHIPMENTS
For large jobs Mabani Steel details, fabricates and
ships the Steel Structure in phases of approximately
150 metric tons (8-10 trailers) to help the erector
better manage material delivery & storage at site.
Each phased shipment is accurate & complete.
It includes all columns, rafters, bracing, purlins,
girts, bolts, etc. and is fully erectable. Subsequent
phases are shipped in one week intervals or as
directed by the Customer. Mabani Steel pre-packs
and stores all the components of a Steel Structure
phase in our factory in a manner that enables
loading on trailers within 24 hours of release for
shipment. When Panels & Panel Accessories are
included in our scope they are shipped as directed
by the Customer.
19. QUALITY ERECTION BY MABANI STEEL
Within the UAE Mabani Steel offers full erection
services using its own Erection Management Team.
We execute erection by subcontracting to experienced
Erectors under close monitoring by our area resident
Erection Specialists. Our erection quality surpasses the
quality of most other PEB Erectors. The department
adheres to the safety requirements of UAEs Jebal
Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA), the most stringent
organization in our Target Market when it comes to
erection safety.

of design, supply and install.
Having the supply and erection under a single
responsibility greatly reduces potential conflicts
between Supplier & Customer, Customer &
Erector and Supplier & Erector. It considerably
shortens the erection period because of the rapid

20. SUPPORT FOR ERECTION BY OTHERS
Mabani Steel employs an Erection Specialist in
each of its Sales Offices. His role is to provide
erection support throughout the erection period
of a job making sure that buildings are properly
erected. Customers who are unfamiliar with Steel
Structure should contact our erection specialist
for advice at the technical approval stage. The
Erection Specialist provides valuable advice to
erectors on the type of equipment and tools to
use, the proper sequence of erection and the no.
of erectors required for specific erection tasks.

21. QUICK RESOLUTION OF SITE CLAIMS

All suppliers experience situations whereby some
components may have been damaged during
transport, some may be quality non-conforming
and some may be short shipped. Mabani Steels
Rapid Response Claims System, is designed to
quickly resolve such problems. Mabani Steels area
resident Erection Specialist assists the Erector in
raising claims for damaged materials (if any), short
shipped materials (if any) or to rectify quality non
conforming components (if any). to make sure
that the integrity of all structure components
is preserved and that the contractual erection
schedule is maintained. If a site dispute arises our
first goal is to ensure that the erection activity is
not interrupted.

SUPERIOR PRODUCT FEATURES

22. ROBUST ENDWALL CONSTRUCTION
Every Pre-Engineered Steel Building (PEB) has
2 endwall frames. An endwall frame may be the
same as an interior (rigid main frame) or may
be a Bearing (light) frame. Most manufacturers
use light gauge cold formed members for the
construction of Bearing frames. Mabani Steel uses
built-up or hot rolled members in the construction
of all endwall frames. This provides a more robust
endwall and considerably reduces the number of
components that need to be installed.
23. GALVANIZED SECONDARY MEMBERS
Some manufacturers still supply alkyd primed (red
oxide or gray oxide) secondary members. Mabani
Steel produces all secondary (Z & C Sections)
members from pre-galvanized G-90 high strength
steel. Galvanized secondary members include roof
purlins, wall girts, base angles, gable angles, framed
opening channels and sliding door members.
24. 100% BLASTING OF PRIMARY MEMBERS
Most manufacturers clean primary (built-up &
hot rolled) structural members using mechanical
brushing or solvent cleaning. Mabani Steel shot
blasts all primary structural components. Mabani
Steels minimum blasting standard is Swedish Sa2.
If specified, Sa 2.5 can easily be achieved in our
two sophisticated blasting machines. Our one of
a kind shot blaster is designed to clean even the
most difficult-to-reach areas of complex structural
members.

25. ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY PAINT SYSTEM
Most manufacturers use manual or semi automated
paint systems to apply paint; an approach that
produces uneven Dry film Thicknesses (DFT).
Excessive application of paint entraps solvents
prolonging curing times which may lead to paint
cracking. Under-application of paint results in
less protection. Mabani Steels state of the art
automated paint equipment uniquely includes a
preheat for the steel members prior to the paint
application, a flash-off chamber to optimize VOC
(Volatile organic compounds) migration prior to
curing, and a temperature controlled heated curing
tunnel with conveyor speed that is specific to both
the paint type and application paint thickness. The
result is hard, durable and evenly applied coatings.
26. HIGH QUALITY PRIMER PAINT

Mabani Steels Standard coating is a 50 microns

Epoxy Primer in Red or Grey Colors only. It is
considerably more durable than the Alkyd primer
used by other Steel Fabricators.

27. AZ COATED STEEL PANELS

When steel panels are specified, Mabani Steel
uses only AZ (Aluminium Zinc) Coated Steel
Panels that are 4 times more resistant to rust than
G-90 galvanized Panels. Panels are stocked in two
thicknesses: 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm in both Mill
finish and Polyester Painted finishes.
28. ALUMINUM PANELS
Aluminum panels have superior resistance to
corrosion and we strongly recommend them for
humid climates and in coastal areas. Panels are
available in 0.7mm thick polyester painted finishes.
29. POPULAR PANEL COLORS
The raw materials coils for 0.5 mm & 0.7mm thick
AZ Coated steel and 0.7mm thick Aluminium
panels are available in all of Mabani Steels 4
standard Colors. Special Colors are a more
expensive option that must be specified at time of
quotation.

31. LARGE AESTHETIC DOWNSPOUTS

Most manufacturers press brake a 406 mm wide
pre-painted metal sheet to produce a 75 mm x
125 mm downspout with a poorly locked flat
profile. They space downspouts 12m to 15m
apart. Mabani Steel rollforms 525 mm wide prepainted metal coils to produce a 125 mm x
150 mm downspout with an architecturally
aesthetic profile; and locates downspouts at each
exterior column (6m 10m apart). Mabani Steel
understands that when it rains, it pours; and that
sizing downspouts for average rainfall intensity
often results in overflows that cause leakages along
the interior of building eaves, during heavy rain
falls. Our gutters and downspouts are designed for
worst case conditions.

30. INTERIOR PAINTED EAVE GUTTERS

Most Manufacturers press brake their metal eave
gutters from 390 mm wide pre-painted sheets and
do not paint their interior making them susceptible
to rust within 1-3 years. Mabani Steel rollforms
metal eave gutters from 605 mm wide pre-painted
coils and shop applies an epoxy coating to the
interior to prolong their functional life.

32. INTERIOR PAINTED VALLEY GUTTERS

Most Manufacturers produce valley gutters from
0.7 m thick Pre-Galvanized G-90 sheets and do not
paint their interior surfaces. Mabani Steel uses 0.9
mm thick pre-galvanized G-90 sheets and coats the
interior with 100 microns of epoxy paint to give
them added protection against rust. Optional PVC
outlets, PVC downpipes and holding brackets at
every interior column are available upon request.

33. SUPERIOR BOLTS & FASTENERS

Ultimately, the integrity of any Steel Structure is achieved by
competent erectors using the proper, code-compliant bolts. The
bolts required for a Steel Building include Anchor Bolts, Primary
Connection Bolts and Secondary Connection Bolts.
ANCHOR BOLTS
Mabani Steel anchor bolts are hot dip galvanized anchor bolts in
DIN 4.6 Steel (High strength Din 8.8 Steel are an option). Anchor
bolts are straight shank type with a welded round plate at the bottom.
L shaped anchor bolts are optional. Anchor bolts are stocked in
4 sizes (mm): 20 x450, 24 x 500, 30 x 650 and 36 x 950.
PRIMARY CONNECTION BOLTS
Almost all manufacturers in this region design their
connections on the basis of full A325 bolt connection
values but often supply DIN 8.8 steel bolts that have 20%
lower connection values than A325 bolts. Mabani Steel uses
only fully threaded hot dip galvanized A325 connection
bolts, nuts & washers exclusively for all primary structural
connections. Bolts are stocked in the following 5 sizes (mm):
16 x 65, 20 x 80, 24 x 100, 30 x 120 and 36 x 140.
SECONDARY CONNECTION BOLTS
Most manufacturers use electro plated mild steel (36 KSI)machine
bolts for connections of secondary cold formed members to
primary (built-up or hot rolled) members or to other secondary
members. Mabani Steel uses 12 x 35 electro galvanized high
strength (DIN 8.8 steel) exclusively for this application.
PANEL AND FLASHING FASTENERS
Mabani Steel uses only self drilling screws for connecting panels
(single skin or sandwich) to secondary members. Unlike self
tapping fasteners that require 2 operations (drilling a hole, then
fastening a screw), self drilling screws more efficiently accomplish
both tasks in one operation, avoiding oversized holes & enabling
a tighter fit between the panels and the secondary members.
Carbon Steel screws are used with Aluzinc Coated Steel Panels.

SKYLIGHT GROMMETS
Mabani Steel uses grommets to fasten skylights to its supporting
members. Grommets require a hole to be pre-drilled but provide
excellent water tight conditions in skylight installations.
