The Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School has an opening for a full-time Bilingual
Program Assistant(English/Spanish). The Program Assistant provides administrative support to the
Director of Student Services. The program Assistant provides assistance and support to students
seeking assistance and services from the department. The Program Assistant is responsible for
coordinating the departments activities, maintains departmental student data base and provides
support to other staff members with their activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree preferred.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.

Must have excellent working knowledge of MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel,
and PowerPoint).

Ability to balance multiple tasks and establish task priorities.

Demonstrate ability to work in a team and to function effectively under pressure.

Proven ability to interact with population of diverse cultural, social and economic
backgrounds.

Ability to work some weekends and evenings.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8am-4.30pm)

FT Evening School Coordinator (Washington, DC)

The Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School is a nationally recognized

The Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School has an opening for a full-time
Evening School Coordinator. S/he serves as Assistant Evening School Coordinator
under the general supervision of the Principal and in coordination with the Assistant
Principal. S/he supports the overall management of the evening program and assists
the management team in projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Education Administration, Adult Education, or a related field
preferred.
A minimum of five years of administrative experience.
2-5 years of experience as an ESL instructor preferred
Proven ability to interact with populations of diverse cultural, social and economic
backgrounds.
Fluent in English and at least one other language of the school community,
preferably in Spanish.
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and foster
team spirit.
Must work well under pressure.

Schedule: 1.30pm 9pm (Monday-Thursday) and 8.30am-4pm (Friday)

Part-time Computer Assisted Language Lab (CALL) Instructor

Carlos Rosario Public Charter School has an opening for a part-time evening Computer
Assisted Language Lab (CALL) Instructor. The schedule is from 6pm to 9pm (Monday Thursday). The instructor supports the school's mission by preparing our adult
immigrant students to become productive and civically engaged residents of the
Washington, DC. The instructor accomplishes this by providing excellent instruction that
supports students' diverse educational backgrounds, learning styles, and English
language abilities. S/he teaches ESL students technology skills while integrating ESL
and CALL objectives, co-plans with ESL teachers to create a cohesive lesson plan that
integrates English learning in a technology environment, and prepares students to be
safe and effective online.
Qualifications:
Individual must have a BA degree (Master's degree preferred)
Three (3) years experience as a ESL or CALL instructor
Must be able to clearly explain basic technology skills to English language learners
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010
Demonstrate ability to work as a team player and to function effectively under
pressure
Ability to fluently speak a foreign language is a plus

PT Evening Tutor

The Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School has one opening for a parttime evening tutor for the Sonia Gutierrez campus. The tutor instructs students in level
appropriate listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The tutor will use a variety of
student-centered instructional techniques to respond to their individual needs.

Qualifications:
BA degree
Experience in ESL and Adult Education preferred
Demonstrate knowledge and competence in both ESL and Adult Education
Experience with low-level English
Bilingual(English/Spanish) is preferred
Technology skills required: MS Word and email proficient
