Note - The Drop in Voltage should not be more than 1.5 Volts. If
drop ism ore than 2 volts, inspect the batteries and recharge the
batteries
i) Go to Main Menu
ii) Select "Test"
iii)Seclect "Self Test"
Successful Completion of the Test will be indicated by a beep sound.
(b) Weekly Test/ Live Test - (The test in which distress frequencies are
used depending upon the distance from the nearest station
is called as Live Test; The lowest priority
i.e. "Safety" should be used while doing the test because we
are using distress frequency.)

Select "Test"
Select " TX Call"
Enter MMSI number of the coast station
Check Priority and Frequency

(b) GME
i) Remove EPIRB from bracket
ii) Lift the yellow cover marked as "Lift"
iii) Press the yellow test button for the brief period and the release it.
iv) If the single Light flashes and two beeps are heard then the test
was OK.
7. Manual activation of an EPIRB
(a) JOTRON
i) Remove EPIRB from bracket.
ii) Remove the Security Lock.
The EPIRB will get activated
(b) GME
i) Remove EPIRB from bracket
ii) Lift the yellow cover marked as "Lift"
iii) Place the slider over the yellow test button.
The EPIRB will get activated
8. Performing Routine Checks on SART
i) Check for any physical damage.
ii) Check the Lanyard
iii) Check for security lock.
