Essential Qualifications (minimum eligibility criteria) for the post of Assistant Professor
1. Good Academic record with at least 55% marks (50% marks for candidates belonging to
SC/ST/Pwd Category ) or an equivalent grade in a point scale where grading system is
followed at the Masters level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an
equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

2. Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the
UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC (state level eligibility SLET/SET)
General Notes
1. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria and qualifications as per the University of
Delhi/ University Grants Commission (UGC) norms shall be required to fulfill an online
application form by visiting the college website at mac.du.ac.in. Candidates belonging to
PWD category can apply through offline mode also.
2. Candidates who have been awarded Ph.D degree in compliance of the UGC (Minimum
Standards and Procedure for awards of M. Phil /Ph.D degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be
exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility of NET/SLET/SET
3. NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Degree Programmes in disciplines
for which NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted.
4. Application fee (Non-Refundable) is Rs. 500/- for General/OBC Category and Rs.250/-for
SC/ST Category payable online or by way of a demand draft drawn in favor of The
Principal , Maharaja Agrasen College payable at Delhi. No application fee for candidates
belonging to PWD Category.
5. The last date for applying online is 30th January, 2016.
6. Printout of the online application form is to be sent to The Principal , Maharaja
Agrasen College, Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi-110096 by 6th Feb, 2016 in a sealed
envelope super-scribed Application for the post of Assistant Professor along with the
following documents:i)
Signed Print Out of the Online Application Form
ii)
Latest Photograph
iii)
Self-attested copies of relevant testimonials/supporting documents
iv)
Information required in Annexure-I placed below with the advertisement.
v)
Demand Draft.
vi)
Proof of payment of application fee.
7. Candidates applying for more than one posts/department must apply separately and
pay fees separately.
8. Candidates who have already applied for the post of Assistant Professor against
Advertisement No. MAC/Recruit/AP/2013/01 dated 27.09.2013 its Corrigendum dated
12.12.2014 and 18.12.2014 will be required to apply afresh. They may also seek refund
of their application fee as per the process notified.

9. The college reserves the right to reject the application form of those candidates who
have not sent relevant testimonial/ supporting documents of educational
qualification/work experience/publication etc with the application form.
10. The candidates applying under PwD category must specifically mention in application
their main category to which they belong i.e UR/SC/ST/OBC for the purpose of
computing reservation.
11. The candidates applying under PwD category are required to submit the Disability
Certificate in the format prescribed by Govt. of India, Department of Personnel &
Training vide OM Mo 36035/3/2004-Estt (Res) dated 29.12/2005. The format is available
at the website www.persmin.nic.in
12. The College reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of advertised posts, if
circumstances so warrant. The reserved categories of the posts are subject to
modification, if any, prescribed by University of Delhi.
13. The College reserves the right not to fill any or all advertised post(s)
14. Merely fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria does not entitle the applicant to be
necessity called for the interview. The applications received shall be screened in
accordance with the guidelines laid down by the University.
15. Corrigendum if any shall be posted on the College website only. It shall be the
responsibility of the Candidates to monitor the same.
16. The applications received shall be screened in accordance with the guidelines laid down
by the University in this regard, to restrict the number of candidates.
17. The list of shortlisted candidates shall be uploaded in the college website in due course.
18. Canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification of candidature.
