Soloists in America
Miguel Gamboa began his violin and viola studies with the faculty at
UANL. After the age of 17, Mr. Gamboa studied viola with Alicher
Kamilov, Raul Sanchez, Olena Umanska, Sergei Trenko, Saul and
Aaron Bitran from the Cuarteto Latinoamericano at the Escuela Superior
de Musica y Danza, the music conservatory in Monterrey and also Martin Valdeshack, Geylla Dubrova, Mihail Tolpigo, and Maria Vdovina.
Heitor Saucedos first instrument is the classical guitar, which he began studying at his high school CEDART. Heitor Saucedo then began
studying cello, receiving lessons from Temenushka Ostreva, Zvi
Plesser, Serguei Trush, Alvaro Bitran from the Cuarteto Latinoamericano at the Conservatory in Monterrey, where Mr. Gamboa was also a
student. Mr. Saucedos teachers also include Orlando Idrovo and Inna
Nassidze.

Traditional Brazilian
Soloist Alfonsinos
Upon completing their studies, Mr. Gamboa and Mr. Saucedo performed extensively as soloists in Queretaro City, Guadalajara, Xalapa,
and Zacatecas, Guanajuato, and Mexico City, performing at museums,
auditoriums, cultural centers, galleries, theaters, universities, and festivals, etc.
While in Mexico, Mr. Gamboa and Mr. Saucedo met and together created Soloist Alfonsinos (now Soloists in America) contributing to public education as a non-profit musical organization to combat the loss of the
arts in education. For three years Soloist Alfonsinos made a lot of noise in
the public media with their concerts and their anti-drug and anti-cartel
message, resulting in the both of them being kidnapped in Mexico and
now seeking opportunity in the United States. As they says To make
classical music in Mexico is impossible because if the people dont have
education, the arts, [they are ] most easy to control. Here in the
United States, Soloists in America continues their message with the added
desire to restore the Mexican national identity and to make music with
humility.
