StoCoat Acryl Plus is an acrylicbased, high performance coating

that protects against weather, salts
and environmental pollutants. Use it
for protecting vertical or horizontal
concrete, stucco, EIFS, masonry, or
previously acrylic-coated sur-faces. It
comes in a variety of colors, and has
a semi-gloss sheen, making it an
easy way to improve a substrates
appearance.

Surface Preparation
Remove loose and deteriorated material by highpressure (> 3000 psi [20.7 MPa]) water-blasting,
sand-blasting or mechanical wire

brushing. Make sure surfaces are sound, clean, dry,

and free of all bond-inhibiting materials including
mildew, dust and dirt.

Mixing
Use StoCoat Acryl Plus at a preconditioned
temperature of 70 5F (21 3C).
Mix undiluted product for 3 minutes using a

slow-speed, drill and a mixing paddle. Mix

thoroughly to a uniform, lump-free consistency.

Application
Apply only to sound and clean, dry, properly
prepared, frost-free surfaces.

Apply Sto Hot Prime in one coat by brush, roller,

or spray to a thickness of 5 wet mils.

ALWAYS check color for proper match. If color

does not match, STOP-call your Sto representative. For best results always prime cementitious
substrates. Apply coating in a continuous application, always working from a wet edge or
architectural break to eliminate cold joints.
Minor shade variations may occur from batch
to batch (refer to batch no. on pail). Avoid
installing separate batches side-by-side and
avoid application in direct sunlight. Avoid
installing new finish adjacent to weathered
or aged finish. Sto Corp. will not be responsible
for shade or color variation from batch to batch,
variation caused by application or substrate
deficiencies, or fading resulting from natural
causes such as weather.

Concrete Masonry substrates:

Apply Sto Primer Smooth in one coat by brush,
roller or spray to a thickness of 6-8 wet mils.

problems. Protect installed product from rain,
freezing, and continuous high humidity until
completely dry.
EIFS: select colors with a lightness value of 20
or greater.
Concrete and Stucco substrates:

Allow primer to dry completely before applying

finish coating. Select one of the options below
depending on type construction, weather exposure
and required level of performance.
Decorative and Protective finish coating
(one coat application):
Apply one coat, 8-10 wet mils, StoCoat Acryl Plus
to primed surface.
Weatherproofing (two coat application):
Apply one coat, 8-10 wet mils, StoCoat Acryl Plus
to primed surface. Allow first coat, StoCoat Acryl
Plus to dry, and apply a second coat, 8-10 wet mils,
StoCoat Acryl Plus.
For horizontal applications, allow final coating to
dry a minimum of 24 hours before exposing to
pedestrian traffic.
Curing/Drying
Protect installed product from rain, freezing, and
continuous high humidity until completely dry.
Clean Up
Clean tools and equipment with water
immediately after use.

Health Precautions
Product is water-based. As with any chemical construction product, exercise care when handling.
Safety Precautions
Use adequate ventilation. Safety goggles and protective gloves are recommended. Remove contaminated clothing immediately.
First Aid
SKIN CONTACT: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
EYE CONTACT: Flush immediately with water for 10-15
minutes and contact a physician.
RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS: Remove affected person to
fresh air immediately and contact a physician.
HYGIENE: Wash hands immediately after use.
Wash clothing before reuse.
Spills
Collect with suitable absorbent material such as
cotton rags.
Disposal
Dispose of in accordance with local, state or federal
regulations.
