All: I confess to almighty God and to you my brothers and sisters, that I
have sinned through my own fault, in my thoughts and in my words, in what
I have done and in what I have failed to do; and I ask blessed Mary ever
virgin, all the angels and saints, and to you my brothers and sisters to pray
for me to the Lord our God.

Pr Miguel: May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and
bring us to everlasting life.
All: Amen

Gloria

All: Glory to God in the highest, and peace to his people on earth. Lord God,
heavenly King, almighty God and Father, we worship you, we give our
thanks, we praise you for your glory. Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the
Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have
mercy on us. You are seated at the right hand of the Father, receive our
prayer. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone
are the most High Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in the Glory of God the
Father.
Amen

Opening Prayer

Pr Miguel: Let us pray. Father, you have made the bond of marriage a holy
mystery, a symbol of Christs love for his Church. Hear our prayers for
Jennifer and Jason. With faith in you and in each other they pledge their
love today. May their lives always bear witness to the reality of that love. We
ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with
you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.
All: Amen

Liturgy of the Word

First Reading read by David Butler

A reading from the first letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians

Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious; never boastful or
proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not hold grudges and will
hardly ever notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad about injustice,
but rejoices whenever truth wins out. If you love someone you will be loyal
to them no matter what the cost. You will always believe in them. Always
expect the best of them; and always stand your ground defending them. All
the special gifts and powers from God will someday come to an end; but
Love goes on forever.
This is the word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God

Responsorial Psalm: Here I am Lord

Second Reading read by Sandra Lauri

The Song of Ruth (1:16:18)

Where you go, I shall go
Where you live, So shall I,
Your people shall be my people,
And your God will be my God too.
Where you die, I shall die,
And there shall I be buried beside you.
We will be together forever and our love
Will be the gift of life.
This is the word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

Gospel Acclamation: Alleluia

The Gospel
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John
All: Glory to you, O Lord

What I command you is to love one another Jesus said to his disciples:
This is my commandment; love one another, as I have loved you. A man
can have no greater love than to lay down his life for his friends. You are my
friends. If you do what I command you, I shall not call you servants
anymore, because a servant does not know his masters business; I shall call
you friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have
learned from my Father. You do not choose me, no, I chose you; and I
commissioned you to go out and bear fruit, fruit that will last; and then the
Father will give you anything you ask Him in my name.
This is the Gospel of the Lord

All: Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

Rite of Marriage

Pr Miguel: Jennifer and Jason, you have come to this church so that the
Lord may seal your love in the presence of the priest and this community.
Christ blesses this love. He has already consecrated you in baptism; now, by
a special sacrament, He strengthens you to fulfill the duties of your married
life. Jennifer and Jason, you are about to celebrate this sacrament.

Have you come here of your own free will and choice without compulsion to
marry each other?

Jennifer and Jason: We have

Pr Miguel: Will you love and honour each other in marriage all the days of
your life?

Jennifer and Jason: We will

Pr Miguel: Are you willing to accept, with love, the children God may send
you and bring them up in accordance with the law of Christ and His Church?
Jennifer and Jason: We are

Declaration of Consent

Pr Miguel: I invite you then to declare before God and His Church your
consent to become husband and wife.

Jason: I, Jason, take you, Jennifer, as my wife, for better, for worse, for
richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part.

Jennifer: I, Jennifer, take you, Jason, as my husband, for better, for worse,
for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part.

Pr Miguel: What God has joined together, man must not separate. May the
Lord confirm the consent that you have given and enrich you with His
blessing?

Blessing of the Rings

Pr Miguel: May the Lord bless these rings, which will be the sign of your
love and fidelity

All: Amen
Jason: Jennifer, wear this ring as a sign of our faithful love. In the name of
the Father, and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Jennifer: Jason, wear this ring as a sign of our faithful love. In the name of
the Father, and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Liturgy of the Eucharist

Offertory Procession Instrumental

(Gifts to be brought to the altar by Susan Bailey & Eileen Maher )

Pr Miguel: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, through your goodness
we have this bread to offer, which earth has given and human hands have
made. It will become for us the bread of life.
All: Blessed be God for ever.

Pr Miguel: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, through your goodness
we have this wine to offer, fruit of the vine and work of human hands. It will
become our spiritual drink.
All: Blessed be God for ever.
Pr Miguel: Pray, my sisters and brothers, that our sacrifice may be
acceptable to God, the almighty Father.
All: May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands, for the praise and glory
of his name, for our good, and the good of all the Church.

The Eucharistic Prayer

Pr Miguel: The Lord be with you.

All: And also with you.
Pr Miguel: Lift up your hearts.

All: We lift them up to the Lord.

Pr Miguel: Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God.
All: It is right to give him thanks and praise.

Pr Miguel: Father, all powerful and ever living God, we do well always and
everywhere to give you thanks. You created us in love to share your divine
life. We see our high destiny in the love of husband and wife, which bears
the imprint of your own divine love. Love is our origin, love is our constant
calling. Love is fulfillment in heaven. The love of a man and a woman is
made holy by the sacrament of marriage and becomes the mirror of your
everlasting love. Through Christ, the choirs of angels and all the saints
praise and worship your glory. May our voices blend with theirs as we join in
their unending hymn of praise.

All: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,

Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.

Pr Miguel: Lord you are holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness. Let your
spirit come upon these gifts to make them holy, so that they may become
for us the body and blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Before he was given up
to death, a death he freely accepted, he took bread, gave you thanks. He
broke the bread, gave it to his disciples and said: Take this all of you and
eat it: this is my body which will be given up for you.
When supper was ended he took the cup. Again he gave it thanks and
praise, gave the cup to his disciples and said: Take this all of you and drink
from it: this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting
covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do
this in memory of me.

Acclamation of the People

Pr Miguel: Let us proclaim the mystery of faith:

All: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

In memory of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Father, this life giving
bread, this saving cup. We thank you for counting us worthy to stand in your
presence and serve you. Lord, remember your church throughout the world:
make us grow in love, together with Francis our Pope, our Bishop, and all the
clergy. Remember our brothers and sisters who have gone to their rest in
the hope of rising again: bring them and all the departed into the light of
your presence. Have mercy on us all: make us worthy to share eternal life
with Mary, the virgin mother of God, with the apostles and all the saints who
have done your will throughout the ages. May we praise you in union with
them, and give you glory through your son, Jesus Christ.

Pr Miguel: Through him, with him, and in him, in the unity of the Holy
Spirit, all glory and honor is yours, almighty Father, forever and ever.
All: Amen

Communion Rite

Pr Miguel: Let us pray with confidence to the Father in the words our
Saviour gave us.

Pr Miguel: Deliver us, Lord, from every evil, and grant us peace in our day.
In your mercy keep us free from sin and protect us from all anxiety as we
wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
All: For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.

Nuptial Blessing

Pr Miguel: Let us ask God to bless Jennifer and Jason now married in
Christ, and unite them in love through the sacrament of His body and blood.

Holy Father, creator of the universe,

maker of man and woman in your own likeness,

and blessed their union.

We humbly pray for Jennifer and Jason, today united in the sacrament of
marriage.
May your fullest blessing come upon them so that they may together rejoice
in your gift of married love

Lord, may they both praise you when they are happy
and turn to you in their sorrows.
May they be glad that you help them in their work
and know that you are with them in their need.
May they pray to you in the community of the Church,
and be your witnesses in the world.
May they reach old age in the company of their family and friends,
and come at last to the kingdom of heaven.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.

Sign of Peace

Pr Miguel: Lord, Jesus Christ, you said to your apostles: I leave you peace,
my peace I give you. Look not on our sins but on the faith of your Church,
and grant us the peace and unity of your kingdom where you live forever
and ever.
All: Amen

Pr Miguel: The Peace of the Lord be with you always.

All: And also with you

Pr Miguel: Let us offer each other the sign of peace

All: Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world: have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world: have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world: grant us peace.

Pr Miguel: This is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
Happy are those who are called to his supper.
All: Lord, I am not worthy to receive you,
but only say the word and I shall be healed.

Communion Antiphon
Pr Miguel: I give you a new commandment: Love one another as I have
loved you, says the Lord.
