Osteopathy
Osteopathy is based on the concept that all human body systems work together as
a whole. They are all linked together and therefore, any disturbance in any one
part can affect various other parts.
Osteopathic techniques aim at relieving aches and pains, restore functions, prom
ote health and well-being, and give back harmony and balance to the body.
When we suffer any psychological or physical trauma, our body automatically adap
ts itself and seeks a new balance. Once sourced, this new balance is invariably
incorrect and will probably not be the healthiest balance, and in most cases wil
l induce a series of dysfunctions. These changes can modify in both the short an
d/or long term in any single, or in various functions of the body systems, and w
ill manifest themselves like illnesses.
Osteopathy helps the body to retrieve the correct relationship between its compo
unds (muscles, bones and joints, internal organs and all tissues).
The Osteopath looks for the original cause, seeks to correct it, and then leave
the bodily mechanisms of auto healing and regulation to do the rest.
The Osteopath uses a large range of specific techniques and works in three main
fields. The three main fields in Osteopathy
• Structural
• Visceral
• Craniofacial
All kind of pains and dysfunctions such as:
• Poor posture
• sports injuries, sciatica lumbar and all affecting the skeletal muscular
system
• Disturbances of the digestive system
