Sir,

Good Morning I herewith share the following in

regarding the website on Water Resources Information System in
India, which gives a somewhat clear picture regarding Water
Resources in our entire India. It is an official website of Government
of India, which is developed by Central Water Commission, National
Remote Sensing Centre and Indian Space Research Organization
combined together.
1. The website is: www.india-wris.nrsc.gov.in
2. Most of our engineers, even though our Irrigation Engineers/
Water
Resources
Engineers/Faculty
Members
in
the
Colleges/Training Institutes/Service Organizations/NGOs do not
aware of this website and thats why, I am herewith sharing
the following information. The information is useful not only
for Water Resources/Irrigation Engineers, but also, for the
Faculty Members, who deals with the topic on
Water
Resources, Crops, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry etc in
various Engineering Colleges/Agricultural Colleges and various
Training Institutes and also useful for various Service
Organizations/NGOs. Strictly speaking, every citizen has to go
through this once briefly and know the outlines, as water is a
basic need and becoming scarcer and thereby, hot topic
nowadays. It is a matter of hardly one hour only to get a rough
idea about Water Resources in our entire India.
3. I herewith attach total 9 folders/documents namely 1.About
Godavari Basin 2. About Krishna Basin 3. About Pennar
Basin 4. Country Level Summary Report (Summary Report
on Water Resources in India) 5.Basinwise Detailed Reports
