Sealed bids will be received until the hour of 2:00 P.M., local time on Tuesday,
March 8, 2016 in the Purchasing Department, Suite 4400, Jefferson Parish
General Government Building, located at 200 Derbigny Street, Gretna,
Louisiana, 70053, and publicly opened upon completion of administrative tasks
for the following:
Rehabilitation of Pailet Pump Station
Jefferson Parish Public Works No. 2012-012-DR
Description of Work: The CONTRACTOR shall provide professional
construction services that are required for the Rehabilitation of the Pailet Pump
Station.
All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with the
Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department, Suite 4400, Jefferson Parish General
Government Building, at 200 Derbigny Street, Gretna, Louisiana. All bidders
must show the Bid Proposal Number on the outside of their bid envelope and on
the bid proposal. Late bids will not be accepted.
Each Bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond
acceptable to the owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total
amount bid, and payable without condition to the owner. If submitting a bid
online, vendors must submit an electronic bid bond through the respective
online clearinghouse bond management system(s) as indicated in the electronic
bid Solicitation on Central Auction House. No scanned paper copies of any bid
bond will be accepted as part of the electronic bid submission.
The drawings and specifications are on file and open for inspection in the
Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department, Suite 4400, Jefferson Parish General
Government Building, at 200 Derbigny Street, Gretna, Louisiana. A complete
set of Contract Documents may be secured from CDM Smith, 1515 Poydras
Street, Suite 1000, New Orleans, LA 70112 (PHONE 504-799-1100, FAX 504412-8260) by licensed contractors upon receipt of $80.00 per set. Deposit on the
first set of documents furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded
upon return of documents in good condition no later than ten (10) days after
receipts of bids.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond
guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. Companies providing the
bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219
as applicable.
The Jefferson Parish Council reserves the right to reject all bids and to reject
bids for just cause, pursuant to the law.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016
in the Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department, located at 200 Derbigny Street,

Louisiana, 70053, and publicly opened upon completion of administrative tasks
for the following: DESCRIPTION
This project consist of construction of an 11,500 sq ft pre-engineered metal
building to be constructed for the Jefferson Parish Drainage Department at Ames
Boulevard Pumping Station Site, 5100 Rochester Drive, Marrero, LA 70072.
The project work is divided into two (2) sections: Base Bid and Base Bid plus
Alternate Bids 1, 2, and 3. The full scope of each add alternate bid are further
defined in the contract documents. The Base Bid includes the construction of a
pre-engineered metal building which will include office and warehouse spaces.
The warehouse will include the installation of a 30-ton overhead crane. The
project will include, but not be limited to the following type of work: subsurface
drainage, pre-cast concrete piles, concrete foundation, concrete block masonry,
asphalt pavement, diesel generator installation, HVAC, electrical, plumbing,
steel stud framing, finishes and landscaping.

The Jefferson Parish Personnel Department is seeking to fill the following
positions within the classified service of Jefferson Parish.
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II - COMPACT LOADERS/SKID STEERS
($20,729/per year) Applicant must meet ONE (1) of the following: 1.
Verifiable, satisfactory experience operating a Compact Loader/Skid Steer
(under 107 hp). OR 2. Completion of an approved training course in operating
a Compact Loader/Skid Steer (under 107 hp). OR 3. Current employment with
Jefferson Parish and certification by an appointing authority that applicant has
been adequately trained to operate a Compact Loader/Skid Steer (under 107 hp).
Substitution: Possession of a Commercial Drivers License and an acceptable
driving record may substitute for the requirements listed in 1, 2, and 3 above.

WATER SERVICE INSPECTOR II - Water Meter ($20,729/ per year) Applicants must meet at least one (1) of the following: 1. Current employment
with the Water Department and permanent civil service status in the class of
Water Service Inspector I. OR 2. High school diploma or equivalent; plus, at
least one (1) year of full-time, paid work experience in the reading and/or trouble
shooting of water meters. OR 3. High school diploma or equivalent; plus at least
two (2) years of work experience in the use of, installation, maintenance, and/or
repair of small equipment, mechanical devices, instrumentation, gauges or other
measuring devices which exhibits the knowledge and skill to operate hand tools

The Jefferson Parish Personnel Department is seeking to fill the following
positions within the classified service of Jefferson Parish.
CLERK III GRAND ISLE ($21,955/per year) - Applicants must be willing and
able to accept a Clerk III position in GRAND ISLE and must meet the following
requirements: Possession of a high school diploma or equivalency certificate
and sufficient and varied, complex clerical experience. SUBSTITUTION:
Completion of clerical training above the level of high school and directly related
to the work described above can substitute for the required work experience.
Note: Complex clerical experience consists of those duties which are complex
in nature and require considerable judgment to be completed satisfactorily.
Examples of such duties are: processing financial or payroll records, preparing
requisitions, maintaining time and attendance records, and creating and

ENGINEER III, PROFESSIONAL ($67,296/per year) Requires a Bachelor
of Science degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related
area; registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana with the

least ten (10) years of post-Professional Engineer work experience performing
responsible professional engineering work. If Engineer-Professional registration
