I have been selling Thermal Cookers since 2009 and my latest, a 3L version (for 2 to 4
people), is a new concept in Thermal Cooking by using a cast iron ring set on to the
base of the inner pot. The excellent heat retention of this ring means that for the rst
time a 3L Thermal Cooker can retain heat for up to 6 hours even when only half full.
The thermal cooker uses the same concept as a hay box, where by placing a cooking
pot of heated food in a box of hay or straw the meal continues to cook without fuel.
In the mid 1990s the thermal cooker was developed in Asia. It consisted of two pots,
one within the other. The inner pot made from stainless steel is used on the hob to
bring the food up to the boil, and the outer, twin walled container with a vacuum
between the walls, is used as the insulation to keep the cooking process continuing.
Mr Ds Thermal Cookers are capable of cooking many dishes from soups and main
meals to puddings. Cakes and bread can also be cooked by placing the cake or bread
tin (available from www.MrDsCookware.com) in the inner pot on a trivet and half
partly submerging it in boiling water.
