NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICIES
No student, employee or prospective employee in the Falls Church City Public Schools
system may be excluded from, denied the benefits of, or be subjected to different treatment with
respect to any educational program or activity, or employment, on the basis of sex, race, color,
religion, national origin, age, disability, or sexual orientation, except where it is determined,
pursuant to the applicable federal or state statutes or regulations, that the fundamental quality
and fairness of a program permits distinction or classification.
Freedom From Sexual Harassment is governed by Policy and Regulation IB.4 and IB.4R
The provision of services for qualified disabled students is governed by Policy and
Regulation 6.25. Programs for Students with Disabilities, and Policy and Regulation 6.2
Declaration of Non-Discrimination Students with Disabilities.
The Falls Church City Public Schools will complete all required assurances, and
compliance reports and fully cooperate with any and all periodic compliance reviews.
The Division Superintendent will develop regulations necessary for the implementation
of this policy and for compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations
Accordingly, the School Board will designate at least one individual to act as the
division's compliance officer for each of the following federal laws: Title IX, Section 504 of the
Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). All students and employees
will be notified annually of the name, office address and telephone number of the designee.
