Responsibilities: - developed, taught and evaluated a unit in Health on “Friendship”, a unit


in Social on “Communities”, a unit in Phys. Ed on “Locomotion
movements”, as well as a unit in Science on “Weather”.
- participated in 3-way conferences with supervising teacher
- organized guest speakers to come into our class
- performed home room duties for 23 students
- assisted with the organization of the Christmas program and coaching the
cross-country running team
- was responsible for lunchroom supervision
- assisted classroom teacher with running record evaluations, as well as
creating rubrics for my lesson/unit plans
- included and adapted work for students of multiple reading/learning
levels (extreme low to high for grade level), which effected their
classroom work and behaviours
- learned how to handle multiple students with symptoms of ADHD (not
diagnosed yet)
- implemented different methods of teaching, such as direct instruction,
student led instruction, visuals, technology, experiential, co-
operative learning (jig saw learning, role play, etc.)
