From the Principals Desk

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
I hope that all of our families enjoyed a good start to
the school year. Our first three weeks have gone
very smoothly, although some parents reported
some very tired children. This is to be expected as
we transition from holiday mode to the daily routine
of school life.

Demonstrate pride in YPS

Demonstrate responsibility in a variety of

circumstances and to also assume
responsibility when required

Be polite and well-mannered at all times

Demonstrate respect for others and their

property

FACTION CAPTAINS

Follow school rules at all times

Congratulations to Chloe & Billy (Red), Emily &

Stephen (Green), Jessica & Taij (Blue) and Lilly &
Ryan who were introduced at last Fridays
assembly.
The role of a faction captain comes with many
responsibilities.

Set an example to all other students

Speak confidently at a variety of events

representing YPS and school assemblies

Be available to assist with school organised

tasks.

I am sure these students will fulfil their role to the

best of their ability.

P&C
I enjoyed attending this weeks P&C meeting and
meeting all the hard working members who have
toiled very hard to contribute to Yakamia PS. The
P&C has achieved so much in the school over many
years and continues to be a driving force
coordinating a wonderful canteen and many
fundraising opportunities.
I look forward to a positive and productive working
relationship with the P&C. Congratulations to P&C
President, Belinda Stonehouse and to all office
bearers for 2016 thank you for your commitment

this idea.
Attendance at School

toilet at night. The treatment is most likely to be
successful if it is part of a supervised selfmanagement program using reliable machines. The
program takes between 6-8 weeks and involves
weekly contact with the School Community Nurse.
There is no cost.
