PARISH STAFF

My name is Magda and I have been a parishioner at Christ the King for 17 years. My spiritual jour-
ney started at a very early age when my dear mother taught mother me how to pray the Lord’s
Prayer, Hail Mary and later, the Holy Rosary. I developed a strong devotion to the Holy Mass and
to the Holy Rosary. I have been coming to Eucharistic Adoration for five years. It is in the front of
the Blessed Sacrament that I see the true meaning of my life. It is here that I know that I am with
my best friend, with whom I share my deepest feelings and concerns and who gives me strength to
overcome my daily struggles in life. It is here where I can adore and console the One who loves
me infinitely and gave His life for me. Adoration is a huge blessing in my life. It has changed my
life. I take more time to pray and read the Holy Bible. I feel how much God loves me and that
gives me the strong desire to be a better Christ-like person. When I look at the cross, I know how
much He loved me then; when I look at the Eucharist, I know how much He loves me now. It is a
great feeling to be alone with Jesus. My heart is overwhelmed with a great joy and peace that only
He can give. Some of us travel a great distance to visit the relics of saints, but you my God, the
greatest saint of all, creator of all things, is here present on the altar before me. You have said,
“Come to me all who are weary and overburden, and I will give you rest”. These words give me
courage and hope. Your loving words invite me to come to You. I fear you, my Jesus, and love
you at the same time. I look at You with such awe. IS IT REALLY YOU MYJESUS, BEFORE
ME? My heart overflows with great joy as I tell You over and over, how I love You with all my heart,
my soul, my mind, with all my strength. Never let me be separated from You. Thank You for the
gift of faith. I will treasure it always. Keep filling me, teaching me and molding me, so I can be an
inspiration to others.
~ Magda

Happiness
For at least the past hundred years, economists have been looking for a machine
that measures happiness. They are still looking.
Nothing Stands Alone
The most common way to measure happiness today is to ask people how happy
they are. There are many studies out there that use this technique. They found a All Things are Connected

Happiness may seem elusive to those who pursue money, power, or pleasure to
attain it. But happiness is right there for the taking if you follow the road map that
Jesus gave his life to deliver to you.
May God bless you and your family as you strive to make them happy.
